Co. 46. by the Oath of twelve or mo of the Yeomen Officers of the King and his Heirs moft honourable Houfhold, returned by the two Clerks Comptrollers, the Clerks of the Check, and the Clerks Marfhals, or one of them for the Time being of" the faid Houfhold, to whom the faid Coroner of the fame Houfhold fhall direct his Precept; (2) which Coroner of our faid Sovereign Lord the King's Houfhold fhall be from Time to Time named, appointed and affigned by the faid Lord great Mafter, or Lord Steward for the Time being; (3) and that the faid Coroner of the faid Houfhold fhall, from Time to Time for ever without Delay, cer- tify under his Seal and the Seals of fuch Perfons as fhall be fworn before him, all fuch Inquifitions, Indict- ments and Offices, upon the View of all dead Bodies being flain at any Time fith the Feaft of All-Saints aforefaid, or which hereafter fhall be flain within any the King's faid Palaces or Houfes, or other Houfe or Houfes aforefaid, before the faid Lord great Mafter, or Lord Steward, and, in his Abfence, before the Treafurer, Comptroller and Steward of the Marjhalfey aforefaid, or before two of them, whereof the faid Steward of the Marjhalfey to be one ; (4) and that fuch Inquifitions and Offices fo certified, mall be deemed, adjudged and taken for ever, as good and effe£tual in the Law to all Intents, Conftru£tions and Purpofes, as any Inquifition taken upon the View of the Body of any Perfon being dead, by any Coroner of any County of this Realm, hath been or fhall be adjudged or taken. Enquiry of Mur- IV. V. And that it fhall be lawful to the faid Lord great Mafter or Lord Steward, and, in his Abfence, to the faid Treafurer, Comptroller, and the faid Steward aforefaid, or two of them, whereof the faid Steward to be one, before whom fuch Returns fhall be fo made as is aforefaid, to caufe fuch Number of the faid .twenty-four Perfons fo returned, above the Number of twelve Perfons, as to him or them fhall feem ex- pedient, to enquire of fuch Treafons, Mifprifons of Treafons, Murders, Manslaughters and other malicious. .Strikings, by reafon whereof Blood is or fhall be fhed, againft the King's Peace, within the faid Palaces or Houfes, or other the faid Houfe or Houfes, fith the faid Feaft of All-Saints, or at any Time hereafter fhall be committed or done within the faid Palace or Houfe, or other the faid Houfe or Houfes. Arraignment of VI. And if any Perfon or Perfons be indicled by the faid Jury, fo fworn before them as is aforefaid, orb" an Offender in- Inquifition before the faid Coroner of the faid Houfhold, ana certified before the faid Lord great Mafter ci diiled.
