Treafurcrs, any Wages for any more Soldiers than ferved in fuch Manner and Form as the Wages was paid thcre^CauiV for, or for any more Days than fuch Soldiers feivcd, and do not note the Day of every Soldier's Entry into and Day of his Death and Departure, and deliver the feme to fuch Treafurcrs as fhall pay the faid Wages every Month in Writing, fo as the Truth of the Number of the Soldiers may appear to the King's Treafurcr and Maftcr of the King's Muflcrs for the Time being in that Behalf, that then every fuch Lieutenant, and other before named, fo offending, fliall forfeit and lofc to the King, for every fuch De- fault, five Pound, to be levied as is aforefaid to the Ufe of the King, and to be imprifoned by the Space of one Month, and to lofe his Room and Office. X. And be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That no Captain after the faid firft Day of April fhall None bot the give to any of his Soldiers, appointed to ferve under him in any Town or Fortrefs kept with Garrifons of Lieutenant fliall Soldiers, any Licence or PafTports to depart from his Service, but only the Lieutenant, or any others as is S 1VC 3 Soldier Li- aforcfaid, upon Pain of Imprifonment as well of the Captain as Soldier fo offending, at the Difcrction of ccn " t0 QC f ,rt - the faid Lieutenant or the others before named. XI. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That every Lieutenant and other before named, Proclamation of upon the Pain of ten Pound, fliall caufe to be proclaimed the whole Effect and Contents of this Act, that this Aft. is to fay, every Lieutenant of any Army in every Field under his Charge to proclaim this Act every Month, and that every of the King's Deputies of every Fortrefs, and Captain of any other Fortrefs, to proclaim this Act within his Charge once every Quarter of a Year. XJI. And alfo be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid for the better Execution of the PremifTes, That Reward for in- every Perfon or Perfons giving to the Lieutenant, crthe others above named, true Information of any of forming of Qf- the Offences above remembred, fh-all have for his Labour one Month"s Wages of him that fliall be found fences, faulty, to be paid by the Hand of the Treafurcr upon Warrant of the faid Lieutenant or any of the others aforefaid. XIII. Provided always, That nothing herein contained fhall in any wife extend to touch or infringe any Orders cftablifhed for the Government of Calice and the Marches of the fame, or any other Place of the King's now governed or hereafter to be governed by the fame Orders, or by fuch Orders as may pleafe his Grace hereafter to fet forth for the fame. XIV. Provided always, and be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That it fliall be lawful for all and Retaining of every of the faid Lieutenants, and other the faid Perfons, to retain in his or their own Hands, to their own Wages. Ufe, of the Wages of his or their Soldiers, the Sums following, that is to fay, vi.s. viij.d. for the Livery or Coat of every Yeoman Soldier, and xiii. s. iv. d. for the Livery or Coat of every Gentleman Soldier for one whole Year. XV. Provided always, and be it further ordained and enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That no Man- In what C;fci 1 ncrof Lieutenant, or any other die faid Perfons, fnall hereafter be charged or prejudiced by Virtue of this Lieutenant fliall A<£t or any Thing therein contained, for Lack of his or their Number retained, as is aforefaid, for or con- ^T^^l^^^ cerning any Soldier or Soldiers as fliall happen to die during his Service, or to be fick by the Vhhation of Number.
