An A£t for veiling certain Fee- Farm Rents, and other fmall Rents in Truftees. WHEREAS his Majefly, in Purfuance of a late Aft, intituled, An A£t for advancing the Sale j/"!! Car, i, c. 64 Fee farm Rents, and other Rents, hath by feveral Letters Patents (one bearing Date the thirteenth Day of June in the two and twentieth Year of his Reign, and the other bearing Date the eleventh Day of November in the two and twentieth Year of his Reign) granted and conveyed divers Fee-farm Rents, and other Rents, unto Francis Lord Hawley, S'xr Charles Harbord Knt. Sir lVillia?n Haward K.nt. Shjohn Talbot Knt. Sir Robert Steivard Knt. and JFilliam Harbord 'ECq; and their Heirs, as Truftees for Sale thereof, moft of which Rents are of the yearly Value of forty Shillings per Annum, and upwards ; ' II. And vi'hereas there are yet remaining very many fmall Rents left out of the faid Letters Patents, * which were intended by the (aid Aft to be fold and conveyed away, the Colleftion of which f:na!l Rents is very chargeable to his Majefty, and very troublefome to the Subjeft, by Means of Uiider-Shcrifis, Bai- liffs and Mellengers neceflarily imployed therein; (2) and yet if the faid fmall Rents fliould be conveyed by Letters Patents to Truftees for Sale thereof, the faid Letters Patents would be of extraordinary Length, and require a Multitude of Recitals of many Sm.all Sums, which befides the Charge in Writing, v>ou!d alfo be an Occafion of great Hindrance and Delay to his Majefty's Service:' (3) Be it therefore enafted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament afiembled, and by Authority thereof. That all Fee- farm Rents, Rents-fervice, Rents-ieck or Dry-rents, Chauntry-rents, Guild-rents, Caftle-guard Rents, and other Rents, within the Survey of the Exchequer, or Duchy oi' Lanca/ler, due and payable to his Ma- jefty, his Heirs and Succeflbrs, in PofTeffion, Reverfion or Remainder (other than fuch Rents and Sums of Money as are fpecially faved and excepted out of the faid Aft) be and are hereby vefted and fettled in the faid Francis Lord hlcwley. Sir Charles Harbord, Sir JVilUam Havjard, Sir fohn Talbot, Sir Robert Stetvart, and JViUiam Harbord, and their Heirs, as fully and abfolutcly to all Intents and Purpofes whatfoever, as if the fame had been particularly granted unto them by Letters Patents by Virtue of the faid Aft, and in fuch Manner as is hereby direfted in that Behalf; (4) and the faid Rents hereby vefted in the faid Truftees, Ihall be by them conveyed and difpofed according to the Direftions and Inftruftions mentioned in the faid Aft, to any Perfon or Perfons, Bodies Politick or Corporate, who fhall defire to purchafe the fame Rents,' or any of them, upon a Particular or Certificate thereof made by the Auditor or other OfHcer of Record, before whom the fame do or Tnall ftand in Charge refpeftively, which Conveyance of the faid Truftees, and the Survivors and Survivor of them, fhall be as good and efteftual in Law to all Intents and Purpofes, as if the Rents fo conveyed had been particularly, immediately, and well and fufHciently granted by his Majefty under the Great Seal o^ Ens^land, or the Seal of the Duchy or County Palatine oi Lcmcqfer. III. And for the better Security and Satisfaftion of the Purchafers of any the faid Rents ; (2) Be it en-^|jpy^^,^^C^i. afted bv the Authority aforefaid.
