CAP. XXXIL An Aft for the Eafe of Jurors, and better regulating of Juries, 3Geo.2. c. 15. ' TT WHEREAS for Trials of Caufes upon Writs oi N'lfi prius, and other Caufes at AfTizes, th'e ' VV Sheriffs do return a competent Number of Jurors for fuch Services ; but it often happens, that ' many of the Caufes, which are brought down for Trial, do not gq on to be tried at the firft Affizes, but are ' brought down again to be tried at fome other fubfequent Aliizes, Vv^hereby the Jurors returned to try fuch ' Caufes are compelled to attend at feveral Affizes for Trial of one and the fame Caufe, to their very great ' Expence and Trouble ; and forafmuch as by Partiality and Favour of Sheriffs, the Corruption of Of- ' ficers, and many other evil Pra6iices, the Service of Jurors has been found to be very burdenfome and ' grievous :' For Remedy whereof be it ena£led by the King's moft Excellent Maj'.'fty, by and vpith the 13 £(/.!. c. 38.
