And be it further enafted, That all and every Mafter and Commander of any Ship or Vefiel what- focvcr, that from and after the faid firft Day oijuly one thoufand fix hundred ninety-eiglit, fhall tranfport or carry any Salt, or Roclc Salt, from one Port to another v/ithin this Kingdom q'! England, Dominion of Wales, and Town q^- Berwick upon Tvjeed, {hall, before he or they have any Warrant for the landing or delivering of fuch Salt (by him tranfported and carried on Shore in any Port) deliver to the Officers for collefting the faid Duties granted by this Ait, in the faid Port appointed to receive the fame, a true Parti- cular of the Quantity fo tranfported and carried as aforefaid, figned by the Officers for colle£ting the faid Duties granted by this Aft, and by the Officers of the Cuftoms, of the Port from vi'hence the faid Ship or Veflel came ; and then the Mafter or his Mate, or the BoatRvain of fuch Ship or Veffel, fhall make Oath before the Coinmiffioaers for collecting the faid Duties granted by this Ai5i:, or their Officers, or fome or one of them (v/ho are hereby impo<'ered to adminifter the fame) that to his Knowledge there hath not been laid on Board, or taken into the faid Ship or Veffel, any Salt fmce he or they came from fuch Port as aforefaid : And in cafe fuch Ship or VelTel be to deliver one Part of her Salt at one Port, and another P.irt at another Port or Ports, that then the Officers for collefling the faid Duties, and the Officers of the Cuftoms, when fuch Part of the faid Salt (hall be delivered, fhall certify on the Backfide of the Cocquet, Tranfive, or other Warrant, or elfe by Certificate alone, under the Hands and Seals of the Officers, hov/ much, and v/hat Quantity of the Salt mentioned in the Cocquet, Tranjire, or other Warrant, from the Port from vv'hence fuch Ship and Veffel came, hath been there landed and delivered,; upon the Penalty of forfeiting double the Value of the Salt that fliall be otherwife delivered, and likewife ten Shillings j5«- Bufhcl, and after that Rate as aforefaid. XIII. And be it further enabled. That no Fee or Reward be had or taken for making, iffuing or grant- ing any Debentures, 1 ickets. Warrants, or Licences, concerning the Duties upon Salt, but that the fame be made, iffued, and granted gratis, and v;ithout Delay. XIV. Provided always, and be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That for all fuch Filh hereafter mentioned, as fnall be exported from any Port or Place in this Kingdom, Dominion oi Wales, or Town of Beriuick upon Tiveed, into Parts beyond the Seas, by any Perfon orPerfons whatfoever, the Rates or Sums of Money hereafter expreffed, fhall by virtue of this A£l be allowed and paid (over and above the Allow- ances for Fifh hy any former AiSfs now in being) that is to fay, XV. For every Cafk or Veffel of Pilchards or Scads, containing fifty Gallons, which fhall be exported after the faid firft Day of yuly one thoufand fix hundred ninety-eight, and before the five and twentieth Day o^ December, which ihall be in the Year of our Lord one thoufand fix hundred ninety-nine, the Sum of twenty Shillings : And for every fuch Cafk or Veffel of Pilchards or Scads, which fliall be fo exported after the four and tvi'entieth Day of December one thoufand fix hundred ninety-nine, at any Time or Times whatfoever,- the Sum of eight and tv/enty Shillings, and fo proportionably for a greater or lefler Quantity. XVL For every Barrel of V'"hite Herrings, which fhall be exported after the faid firft Day o^ July one thoufand fix hundred ninety-eight, and before the five and twentieth Day oi December one thoufand fix hundred ninety-nine, the Sum of four Shillings and two Pence : And for every fuch Barrel of White Her- ring, which fliall be fo exported, at any Time or Times after the four and twentieth Day oi December one thoufand fix hundred ninety-nine, the Surh of five Shillings and ten Pence, and fo proportionably for a greater or leffer Quantity of White Herrings. XVII. For every Barrel of Red Herring, which fhall be exported after the faid firft Day oi "July one thoufand fix hundred ninety-eight, and before the five and twentieth Day of DfcwflZi^r one thouiand fix hundred and ninety-nine, the Sum of three Shillings and four Pence: And for every Barrel of Red Her- ring, which fliall be exported at any Time or Times after the four and twentieth Day of Z)cc«?2Z'i?r one thoufand fix hundred ninety-nine, the Sum of four Shillings and eight Pence, and fo proportionably for any greater or leiler Quantiiy of Red Flerrings. XVIII. For every Barrel of Salmon, which (liall be exported after the faid firft Day of July one thou- fand Rx himdrcd ninety-eight, and before the five and twentieth Day of December one thoufand fix hundred ninety and nine, the Sum of eight Shillings and four Pence : And for every Barrel of Salmon, which fliall be exported at any Time or Times, after the four and twentieth Day of Decanber one thouiand fix hundred ninety and nine, the Sum of eleven Shillings and eight Pence, and fo proportionably for a greater or leffer . And for every Hundred of Codfifh, IJng, or Hake, which fhall be exported after the faid firft Day of July one thoufand fix hundred ninety-eight, and before die five and twentieth Day of Deconhcr one thoufand fix hundred ninety and nine, the Sum of five and twenty Shillings: And for every Hundred of CoJnfh, Ling, or Flake, which fliall be exported at any Time or Times, after the four and twentieth Day of Decemher one thoufand fix hundred ninety and nine, the Sum of five and thirty Shillings, and fo propor- tionably for a greater or leffer Number or Qtiantity. XX. For every Laft of dried Red Sprats, which fhall be exported after the faid firfl: Day of yz;/v one ^ thoufand fix hundred ninety-eight, the Sum of fix Shillings and eight Pence, and fo proportionably for a greater or leffer Quantity. XXI. V/hich Allowarjces by this Aft fliall be paid by the Officer appointed to colleft the Duties upon Salt payable by this Aft, in the fame Port from whence any ftich Fifli fliall be exported, within thirty Days after Demand thereof, on a Debenture to be prepared by the Colleftor of the Cuftoms, in the Port where fuch Fifh fliall be entrcd out for Exportation, and verified by the Perfon executing the Office of Searclier in fuch Port, as to the QiianL-ity of Fifli aftually fliipped ; and that the Oath of rhe Exporter or Agent be firft taken before the principal Officers of the faid Port, before the Debenture be allowed, who are hereby j-equired and impowered to give the faid Oath, that the Fifh in fuch Debenture mentioned were £rm'ijl} tjken, and really exported to Parts beyond the Seas, and not intended to be relanded in England, JfaU:,
