Incumbents thereof for the Time being, and every of them, their refpeftive Heirs, Executors, Admi- niftrators, Succefibrs, and Sureties, {hall be free and clearly difcharged and acquitted for ever of and from the faid Firft-fruits, and of and from all Arrears of the fame ; any Thing in the aforefaid AA to the contrary notwithftanding : And the afcertaining of the clear inaproved yearly Valuations of the faid Ec- clefraftical Benefices with the Cure of Souls, hereby intended to be difcharged from the Payment of Firft- fruits, fliall be by the fame Perfons, and in the fame Manner and Form, as for other Livings mentioned in the faid Aft. II. Provided neverthelefs, That the Certificates by the proper Ordinaries into her Majefly's Court of Exchequer at Wejiminjier, of the yearly Valuation of fuch Livings intended by this Aft to be difcharged from the Payment or Firft-fruits, may be made at any Time before the twenty-fourth Day of £);;-««- her which fhall be in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and eight ; any thing herein to the contrary notwithftanding. IV. And be it further enafted and declared by the Authority aforefaid. That this Aft fhall be taken and accepted in all Courts and Places whatfoever as a publick Aft. ' V. ' the Firft-fruits of Archbifliopricks and Bifhopricks amount to near the full annual Value thereof, and ' the other Charges of coming into Archbifhopricks and Bifhopricks are very great : And whereas Arch- ' bifliops and Bifhops have not the Profits of their Bifliopricks from the Death of their P'redecefibrs, as;

  • Reftors and Vicars have, but from the Time that fuch Bifhopricks are conferred upon them: And.

And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That all Deans, Archdeacons, Prebendaries, and other Dignitaries, fhall compound for their refpeftive Firft-fruits, in fuch Manner, and Form as Reftors and Vicars have been accuftomed to do ; and in cafe of Death or Removal within the Time ufu- ally allowed to Reftors and Vicars for Payment of their faid Firft-fruits, they the faid Deans, Archdea- cons, Prebendaries, and other Dignitaries, fhall be in the like Condition, and have the fame Benefit as is allowed to Reftors and Vicars by the Statute made in the firft Year of the Reign of the late Queea Elisabeth, intituled, Jn ASi for the Rejtitution of the Firji-fruits to the Crown.
