Weight, within fix Months after fuch Hops refpsftively fliall be cured, and fhall or ought to be put into Bags, as is herein after mentioned and required. II. And be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That in cafe any of the faid imported Hops fhall be Imported Hops landed or put on Shore out of any Ship or Vellel, before due Entry be made thereof at the Cuftom- Jfn'ie'i before houfe, in- the Port or Place where the fame fliall be imported, and before the faid Duties by this Aft ^^^J,' ^'^'th"* charged or chargeable thereupon, fhall be duly paid, or without a Warrant for the landing or delivering Value'. the fame, firil: figned by the Commiffioners', Colledlors, or other proper Officer or Oificers of the Cuftoms refpeftively, that all fuch imported Hops, of what Kind foever as fhall be fo landed and put on Shore, or taken out of any Ship or VelTel, contrary to the true Meaning hereof, or the Value of the fame, fliall be forfeited, and fhall and may be feized or recovered of the Importer or Proprietor thereof, to wit ; one Moiety of the fame to the Ufe of her Majefty, her Heirs and' Succeffors, and the other Moiety to the Ufe of fuch Perfon or Perfons as will feize, inform, or fue for the Hops fo imported and forfeited, or the Value thereof, in any of her iN^ajefly's Courts of Record at JVeJlminJicr, or in her Ma- c'ibjsQo-jLXtoi Exchequer xvi Scotland, by Adlion, Bill, Suit or Information, wherein no Effoin, Protec- tion, or Wager of Law fhall be allowed. III. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid. And be it enafted and declared by the Authority aforefaid, That fuch of the Duties impofed by Hops imported to this Aft upon imported Hops, as fliall arife in England, JFales, and the Town of Berwick upon Tweed, beundsrtheMa- fhall be under the Management of the Commiffioners and Officers of the Cuftoms in England for the commiffionerlof -time being ; and fuch of the Duties impofed by this Aft upon imported Plops as fliall arife in Scotland, cuftoms: fhall be under the Management of the Commiffioners and Officers of the Cuftoms in Scotland for the Time being ; and that the refpeftive Receivers General of the Cuftoms in England and Scotland for the Time ieing, fliall, from time to time, pay or caufe to be paid all the Monies that they refpeftively fliall receive of the faid Duties for imported Hops (the necefl'ary Charges of raifing and accounting for the fame ex- -cepted) into the Receipt of her Majefty's Exchequer in England, diftinftly and apart from all other Branches of the publick Revenues, for the Purpofes in this Aft expreflTed, and under the like Penalties, .Forfeitures, and Difabilities, as are to be inflifted by this Aft, for diverting or mifapplying any Monies ■by this A6t appropriated or appointed for the Purpofes herein after m,entioned. And for the better afcertaining, charging, collefting, levying, raifing, uplifting, and fecuring the Britifli Hops to feveral Rates and Duties by this Aft fet and impofed upon all Sorts of Hops of the Growth of Great bs ""tier th= Britain, v^'hich fliall be cured, and which fhall or ought to be bagged within or during the Term afore- Commiffioners faid, according to the true Meaning of this Aft, and for preventing of Frauds concerning the fame ; Be °' ^"^ ^' it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid.
