And it is hereby enaiSted, That for and upon all Paper, which, at any Time or Times, during the Term laft mentioned, fhall be printed, painted or flained in Great Britain, to ferve for Hangings, and other Ufes, there fhall be anfwered and paid to her Majefly (over and above the Duties payable for fuch Paper before the Printing, Painting, or Staining thereofj the Sum of one Half-penny for every Yard Square, and after that Rate for a greater or leffer Qiiantity, to be paid by fueh Perfon or Perfons as fhall print, paint, or flain the fame. V. And be it alfo enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That there fliall be raifed, levied, collected and paid, to and for the Ufe of her Majefty, her Heirs and Succeffors, for and upon all chequered and ftriped Linens, and upon all Linens printed, painted, flained, or dyed after the ManufaiSfure, or in the Thread or Yarn before the' Manufacture, in any Foreign Parts (excepting Buckrams, Lawns, Canvas, Barras, and Silejia Neckcloths) which at any Time or Times, v/ithin or during the Term of two and thirty Years, to be reckoned from the faid fecond Day oi Au^uji one thoufand feven hundred and fourteen, fhall be import- ed or brought into the Kingdom of Great Britain, and may lawfully be ufed or worn there (over and above all other Cuftoms, Subfidies or Duties, impofed upon, or payable for the fame) a Duty a^'ter the Rate of fifteen Pounds for every one hundred Pounds of the true and real Value thereof, to be paid by the Impor- ters refpeftively. ... VI. And be it further enaiSed by the Authority aforefaid, That there fliall be raifed, levied, collefted and paid, to and for the Ufe of her Majefly, hei" Heirs and Succeffors, for and upon all Silks, Callicoes^ Linens and Stuffs, of what Kindfoever, which at any Time or Times, within or during the Term of two and thirty Years, to be reckoned from the faid fecond Day of Au^uft one thoufand feven hundred and four- teen, fhall be printed, flained, painted, or dyed in Great Britain (fuch Callicoes, Linens and Futlians, as fhall be dyed throughout of one Colour only, and Stuffs made of Woollen, or whereof th - greateft Part in Value fliall be Woollen, always excepted) the feveral and refpeftive Rates and Duties herein after ex- preffed (over and above all other Duties payable for the fame, or any of them ) That is to fiiy. For and upon all Silks fo printed, flained or painted, within or during the Term aforefaid, in Great Bri- tain (Silk Handkerchiefs excepted) the Sum of fix Pence for every Yard in Length, reckoning Half a Yard for the Breadth. ... . . And for all Silk Handkerchiefs fo'printed, flained or painted, within or during the Term aforefaid, in Great Britain, the Sum of one Penny for every Yard fquare, and in thofe Proportions for wider or narrow- er Silks.
