D. 1 7 1 6, SuTcond Lottery. so Ann, c, 26, or made in Great .Britain, the refpective Duties therein fpecified ; and for and upon all Paper of what Kind foever, and all Paftboards, Mildboards and Scaleboards; and all B^oks, Prints and Maps,- which daring the Term of thirty- two Years, to be reckoned from the twenty-fourth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and twelve, fhould be imported into Great Britain, feveral Duties therein-particularly ex- preffed ; and for and upon all Paper of what Kind foever, and upon all Paftboards, Mildboards and Scaleboards, which during the Term laft mentioned fhould be made in Great Britain, feveral Duties- therein alfo particularly expreffed ; and for and upon all chequered and ftriped Linens, and upon all Linens printed, painted, fta-ined or dyed in any foreign Parts, which during the Term of thirty-two Years, to be reckoned from the twentieth Day of "July one thoufand feven hundred and twelve, fhould be imported into Great Britain, and might lawfully be ufed or worn there, a Duty after the Rate of fif- teen Pounds for every one hundred Pounds of the true and real Value thereof; and for and upon all Silks, Callicoes, Linens and Stuffs, which during the Term laft mentioned fhould be printed, ftained, P-iinted or died in Great Britain (except as therein is excepted) feveral Duties therein expreiled ; and for the feveral and refpective Things therein particularly mentioned, which at any Time or Times within or during the Term of thirty-two Years, to be reckoned from the firft Day of Auguji one thoufand feven hundred and twelve, fhould be ingrafted, printed or written, the feveral and refpective Duties therein particularly fpecified : And it was thereby enacted, That yearly and every Year, during the Term of thirty-two Years (which commenced from the twenty-ninth Day of September one thoufand feven hun- dred and twelve) the full Sum of one hundred fixty-eight thoufand and three Pounds, by and out of the Monies of the feveral Duties by that Act granted, or to be made good, as is therein mentioned, fhould be a yearly Fund for or towards anfwering and paying off" all and every the principal Sums therein men- tioned, amounting in the whole to two Millions three hundred forty-one thoufand feven hundred and forty Pounds, with Intereft after the Rate of fix Pounds per Centum per Annum, to fuch Perfons as fhould contribute or advance the Sum of eighteen hundred thoufand Pounds for carrying on the then War, or to thofe claiming from or under them in the Manner thereby prefcribed. And whereas by an Acl: made and paffed in the faid tenth Year of her faid late Majefty's Reign, it was enacted, That there fhould be raifed and paid for and upon fuch Skins and Hides, and Pieces of Skins and Hides, and for and upon fuch made Wares, therein defcribed, as during the Term of thirty-two Years, to be reckoned from the firft Day of Auguji one thoufand feven hundred and twelve, fhould be imported into Great Britain, the additional Rates or new Duties therein particularly expreffed ; and for and upon all fuch Skins and Hides, and Pieces of Skins and Pliles therein defcribed, as during the fame Term fhould be tanned, tawed, or dreffed in Great Britain, the additional Rates or new Duties therein alfo particularly expreffed ; and for and upon all Vellum and Parchment, which during the fame Term fhould be made in Great Bri- tain, or imported into the fame, fuch additional Rates or new Duties as are therein fpecified ; and for and upon all Starch, which during the fame Term fhould be imported into or made in Great Britain, the refpective Duties therein mentioned ; and for and upon all Coffee, Tea, and Drugs (except as therein is excepted) which within or during the Term of thirty-two Years, to be reckoned from the iixteenth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and twelve, fhould be imported into Great Britain, the new Duties-therein expreffed ; and for and upon all gilt and filver Wire, which during the Term of thirty- two Years, to be reckoned from the firft Day of July one thoufand feven hundred and twelve, fhould be imported into or made in Great Britain, the refpective Duties therein mentioned ; and for and upon eve- ry Policy of Affurance, which during the Term of thirty-two Years to be reckoned from the firft Day of Auguji one thoufand feven hundred and twelve, fhould be made or entred.into within the Cities of Lon- don and Wejlminfter, or elfewhere within the Limits of the weekly Bills of Mortality, an additional Du- ty therein expreffed : And it was thereby enacted, That yearly and every Year, during the Term of thirty-two Years, which commenced from the twenty-ninth Day of September one thoufand feven hun- dred and twelve, the Sum of one hundred and fixty-eight thoufand and three Pounds, by and out of the Monies of the feveral Duties by that Act granted, or to be made good, as is therein mentioned, fhould. be a yearly Fund for or towards anfwering or paying off all and every the principal Sums therein menti- oned, amounting, in the whole to two Millions three hundred forty-one thoufand nine hundred and nine- ty Pounds, with Intereft after the Rate of fix Pounds per Centum per Annum, to fuch Perfons as fhould contribute or advance the Sum of one Million eight hundred thoufand Pounds for her Majefty's Supply, or- to thofe claiming from or under them, in the Manner thereby prefcribed. Funds by them eftablifhed or intended to be eftablifhed,. fhould at the End of any one Year appear to be deficient for anfwering the faid yearly Funds refpectively, that then fuch Deficiencies fhould be made good out of the next Aids to be granted in Parliament, or other- wife as by the fame Acts refpectively is prefcribed : And her faid late Majefty by the fame Acts reflective- ly was authorized to appoint Managers or Directors, who, or fome oi them were fiereby refpectively. directed to prepare Lottery-tickets, and to caufe the faid Lottery-tickets to be drawn in fuch feveral. Mariners as were thereby appointed, and to tranfmit into the Office of the Auditor of the Receipt of the Exchequer, Books containing the Names, Surnames, and Places of Abode,, of the Perfons, which upon fuch Drawings, fhould be intitled to fuch fortunate or beneficial Lots as are therein fet down ; and that the fame Perfons, their Executors, Adminiftrators and Affigns refpectively, fhould have, receive and enjo'" out of the faid refpective Funds, the principal Monies which fhould be entred in fuch Books for them refpectively, in Courfe or Courfes, and the Intereft thereof by fuch Payments as in the faid Acts are feverally prefcribed ; and that the other Contributors or Adventurers, upon the faid feveral Acts (not ' bavins;
