Aft directed to be made) fhall or may be difpofed of, either for and on the Account of the Proprietors of the prefent capital Stock, or of the whole increafed capital Stock_of the faid Corporation, as their general Court fhall think fit, in proportion to their refpeftive Shares and Interefts in the faid capital Stock; any Thinw herein contained to the contrary notwithftanding. _ How Proprietors ' XXXVIII. And whereas feveral of the Proprietors of the faid Pay-tickets may have fold, aliened of of Pay-tickets, ' difpofed of their Intereft in one, two or three Years fucceeding Payments of fuch Pay-tickets, Part of Z thd/lnte'reft ' tho(e comprehended in the faid Term of twenty-three Years and three Quarters of a Year, or of the for one or more ' faid one Y ear and a Quarter's Arrear :' It is hereby provided and further enafted by the Authority Years, are to aforefaid, That fuch Proprietors, having all the other Pay-tickets for the Refidue of the faid Term of fubfcribe. twenty-three Years and three Quarters of a Year, or for the Refidue of the faid one Year and a Quarter, may fubfcribe that whole Term of and in the faid Annuity or Annuities, and all the Pay-tickets for the: fame, paying to the Perfon or Perfons to be appointed to receive and take in the faid Pay-tickets the full Amount of fuch Pay-ticket or 1 ickets fo fold, aliened or difpofed; which Perfon or Peifons fhall pay the fame into the Receipt of his Majefty's Exchequer, inTruft, to pay and fatisfy fuch Perfon or Perfons as fhall have a Right to and be in Poffeffion of fuch Pay-tickets, when thofe Tickets refpeftively fhall be- come due, and delivering up all the reft of the Pay-tickets for the Term fo fubfcribed for., as in this Aft is before prefcribed; any Thing herein contained to the contrary notwithftanding. ' XXXIX. And whereas feveral of the faid Pay-tickets made forth in purfuance of the faid Aft of the- S Ann. c. 4. ' eighth Year of her late Majefty's Reign have, by Cafualty or Mifchance, been loft, burnt or otherwife Duplicates to be ' deftroyed :' Be it therefore enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That in all Cafes where it fhall appear made of Pay- by Affidavit to be made before the Lord Chief Baron, or before any of the Barons of the Coif of his Ma- rkets loft, jefty's Court of Exchequer for the Time being, (who fhall interrogate the Deponent thereupon) to the iboyed? 1 f " Satisfaction of fuch Baron or Barons, that any fuch Ticket or Tickets as aforefaid, before the tenth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and nineteen fhall have been or are loft, burnt or otherwife deftroyed,. it fhall and may be lawful for the CommifTioner of the Transfer-office, appointed purfuant to the faid Aft' of the eighth Year of her late Majefty's Reign, and the Payinafter of fuch Tickets, or either of them, up- on producing a Certificate from any the faid Barons of luch Affidavit made before him or them (which Af- fidavit the faid Barons or any of them is and are hereby authorized to take, and which Certificate he or they are hereby required to make and grant without Fee or Reward) and on Security given to the good Liking of the faid CommifTioner and Paymafter to indemnify his Majefty againft all other Perfons what- foever, for and concerning the Monies fpecified in or due upon fuch Ticket or Tickets, to make forth Du- plicates of the Tickets fo left, burnt, or deftroyed at the Requeft of the refpeftive Owners thereof; and' that the fame Duplicates fhall be of the like Validity and have the fame Effect as the original Tickets "would have had, if they had not been loft, burnt or deftroyed, and may be fubfcribed into the faid in- creafed Stock as aforefaid. XLI.
