' III. And for more effectually preventing for the future the great and enormous Mifchiefs and Abides, ' which have been riotoufiy committed and done within the faid Place called Suffolk-Place, or the Mint, ' or within any the Limits, or pretended Limits thereof, by wicked Perfons in Vizards, Masks, or dif- ' guifed Habits, or having their Faces or Bodies difguifed ;' Be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That if after the tenth Day of Oclober one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-three, any Perfon or Perfons whatfoever; wearing any Vizard, Mafk, or difguized Habit, or having his or their Face or Faces, or Body Perform difguifed or Bodies difguifed, fhall within the faid Place called Suffolk-Place, or the Mint, or within any the Limits, abetting Riots, or pretended Limits thereof, join in, or aid or abet any Riot or Tumult there, or fhall, in any Vizard, * c - t0 be deeme<1 Mafk, or other Difguife whatfoever, knowingly and willingly there oppofe the Execution of any l~gal Procefs, Order or Warrant, or affault and abufe any Perfon or Perfons ferving or executing any fuch Procefs, Order or Warrant, or for having fo done; all and every fuch Perfon and Perfons, being lawfully convicted of any fuch Offence, fhsll be adjudged guilty of Felony, and fhall forfeit and fuffer as in Cafes of Felony, without Benefit of Clergy ; and all Perfons aiding, affifting or abetting, or knowingly har- concealers &c bouring or concealing any fuch difguifed Perfon or Perfons, being thereof convicted, fhall be adj udged to be tranfported. guilty of Felony, and fhall be tranfported to fome or-one of his Majefty's Colonies or Plantations in America, by fuch Ways, Means and Methods, and in fuch Manner, and for fuch Time, and under fuch Pains and Penalties, as Felons in other Cafes are by Law to be tranfported.
