And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That from and after the faid twenty-fourth After 24 June "Dvf of June one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-four no Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Nuts or Chocolate 1724. no Coffee, fhall be brought into any fuch before mentioned Warehoufe, Storehoufe, Room, Shop, Cellar, Vault or &c. to be brought other Place made Ufe of by fuch Druggift, Grocer, Chandler, Coffee-houfe-keeper, Chocolatehoufe- p7 a ° ce " without keeper, or fuch other Perfon or Perfons, Body Politick or Corporate, without his, her or their firft giving Notice and Cer- Notice thereof to the Officer for the faid Inland Duties hereby fet and impofed, of the Divifion or Place tificate, on For- iri which fuch Warehoufe, Storehoufe, Room, Shop, Cellar, Vault or other Place in which fuch Coffee, future thereof, Tea, Cocoa Nuts or Chocolate are intended to be lodged, and producing to the faid Officer and leaving ?J"! of the tre with him an authentick Certificate, figned by the Officer for the faid Inland Duties hereby fet and a ue * impofed, of the Divifion from whence fuch Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Nuts or Chocolate fhall be brought, that in cafe of Coffee, Tea or Chocolate, the Inland Duties charged or chargeable by this Act upon the faid Coffee, Tea or Chocolate fo intended to be brought in as aforefaid, have been actually paid, or that the fame hath been condemned as forfeited, or was Part of the Stock in Hand of fome Druggift, Grocer, Chandler, Coffeehoufe-keeper or Chocolatehoufe-keeper, or other Perfon or Perfons, Body Politick or Corporate, felling or dealing in Coffee, Tea or Chocolate, or making of Chocolate, and in cafe of bring- ■ jng in Cocoa Nuts, that the fame have been duly entred with the Officer or Officers of his Majefty's Cu- ftoms, or that they were condemned as forfeited, or were Part of the Stock in Hand of fome Druggift or other Perfon felling or dealing therein, upon or before the faid twenty-fourth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-four, of which an Account of fuch Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Nuts and Chocolate had been taken on or before the faid twenty-fourth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and twenty- four, and expreffing the Quantity and Quality thereof, and at what Place the faid Inland Duties were fo paid for the faid Coffee, Tea or Chocolate, or at what Port or Place the Cuftoms and Duties were fo paid for fuch Cocoa Nuts, or the faid Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Nuts or Chocolate were condemned, or of whofe Stock in Hand the fame was Part; on Pain of forfeiting the Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Nuts or Chocolate fo brought in without fuch Notice and Certificate as aforefaid, and treble the Value thereof, together with the Canifters, Bags, Jars, Tubs, Boxes, Calks and other Veffels or Package whatfoever containing the fame. XII. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That from and after the faid twenty-fourth Officers in the Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-four, it fhall and may be lawful for the Officers for Daytime may the faid Inland Duties hereby fet or impofed, or any of them, from Time to Time and at all Times by fnt« all Ware- Day, to enter into all and every the Warehoufes, Storehoufes, Rooms, Shops, Cellars, Vaults and other foTkee f °' c^/ Places made ufe of for keeping or making any Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Nuts or Chocolate by any Druggift, fee, &c and take Grocer, Chandler, Coffeehouie-keeper, Chocolatehoufe-keeper, or other Perfon or Perfons, Body Poli- Accounts, tick or Corporate, felling or dealing in Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Nuts or Chocolate, by Wholefale or Retail, or making Chocolate, and by weighing, gaging or otherwife to take an Account of the Quantity and Sorts of the faid Commodities, which fhall at any Time be in their or any cf their Cuftody, in the weighing whereof the Owners of any of the faid Commodities, or fome on their Behalf, fhall be aiding and affifting to the faid Officers, and keep fufficient juft Weights and Scales to be made ufe of by the Owners of Cof- faid Officers for that Purpofe; and if any fuch Druggift, Grocer, Chandler, Coffeehoufe-keeper, Cho- fee ' *e.toaffift colatehoufe-keeper, or other Perfon or Perfons, Body Politick or Corporate, felling or dealing in ofn " rslrTO ' e '£ h - Coffee, Tea.
