IV. ,i Aft for continuing the Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry in that Part of Great Britain called England, and for granting to his Majefty certain Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-fix ; and for the more effectual preventing Frauds and Abufes in the Shipping of Malt for Exportation to foreign Parts ; and for afcertaining the Price of Ale to be fold in Scot/and; and for making good the Deficiency on the Lottery- Tickets of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and twenty four-, and for making forth Duplicates of Exchequer-Bills, Lottery-Tickets and Orders, loft, burnt or otherwile de- flroyed. ' telefs the faid Exporters to demand and infill upon it, that they are to have a Drawback of fix Pence for ' /ery Bulhel of Malt fo by them exported as aforefaid, although the fame Malt fo exported, by their ' audulent Way of working the fame, is worth little more than the Drawback paid and allowed on the ' xportation thereof, to the great Difparagement of the Britijh Malt in foreign Parts, and the Diminution 1 : his Majefty's Duties upon Malt :' For Remedy whereof be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That fin and after the twenty-fourth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-fix no Malt which u ch be entred and made for Exportation only, in the Manner by this Aft prefcribed and directed; 11 by Virtue of this Aft, be charged or chargeable, or fubjeft or liable to any of the Duties by this Aft c rged or impofed upon any Malt to be made in Great Britain ; and that no Drawback out of the Duties- olVIalt by this Aft granted, lhall be paid or allowed for any Malt whatfover, which from and after tl faid twenty-fourth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-fix lhall be made and ex- pred from any Part of Great Britain to Parts beyond the Seas. XIX. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That from and after the faid twenty-fourth Maimers to enter 1/ of June one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-fix all and every M, lfter and Maker of Alalt for Ex- a'lMalt intended ptation fhall from Time to Time, before he, fhe or they lhall begin to wet or fteep any Steeping of Corn Exjo.-ution. • (Grain to be made into Malt for Exportation, give or leave Notice in Writing with the refpeftive Of- |r or Officers for the faid Duties on Malt for the Divifion or Place where fuch Malt is to be and lhall b ru.de, of the relpeftive Quantities of Corn or Grain intended to be contained in each Steeping fo by h, her or them inended to be made into Malt for Exportation to Parts beyond the Seas ; which faid C n or Grain fo intended to be made into Malt for Exportation fhall from Time to Time be kept fepa- r; and apart, by the refpeftive Makers thereof, from all other Corn or Grain, either made or to be made ii • Malt for Home Confumption, on Pain of forfeiting the Sum of five Shillings for every Bulhel of Grain retained in any Steeping fo entred to be made for Exportation, which lhall be found mixed with any C n or Grain made or to be made into Malt for Home Confumption. .
