Appropriation of XVII. And it is hereby declared and enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all the Monies to arife by the Monies on Rents of the faid additional Number of Chairs to be Licenfed in Purfuance of this Act (the neceffary thcfe Chairs. Charges of raifing the fame excepted) fhall be added to the Funds fettled by the faid A£t of the ninth Year of her faid late Majefty's Reign, and applied towards the Payment of the Principal and Intereft- Money therein mentioned, in like Manner, and under the like Penalties, as other Rents upon Hackney Chairs are applicable and appropriated. And be it further enacted by the Authority afore r aid, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for iflbeout new the Commiffioners of his Majefly's Treafury or any three or more of them now being, or the High Trea- Exchequer-Bills f urer or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the Time being, and they refpec- notexcee mg t j ve ]y are hereby authorized and impowered at any Time or Times before the twenty-fourth Day of March ' ' one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-fix, at once or by fuch Proportions at a Time as they refpectively fhall find to be moft for the Advantage of the Publick, to prepare and make or caufe to be prepared and made at the Exchequer, in fuch Method and Form as they or he fhall think moft fafe and convenient, any Number of new Exchequer Bills containing one common Sum or different Sums in the Principal Monies, not to exceed in the whole the Sum of five hundred thoufand Pounds Sterling. An Annual " Account to be taken at Michaelmas of the Monies arifing by the Duties on Victuallers. Deficiency to " be made good out of the next Supplies, or out of the Sinking Fund. Monies out of the Sinking Fund " to be replaced." EXP. Appropriation XXVIII. Provided always, and be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all Monies coming into Claufes. the Exchequer, either by Loans or Exchequer-Bills, upon one Act. of this Seffion of Parliament, intitul- ed, An AH for granting an Aid to his Majefly by a Land-Tax to be raifed in Great Britain, for the Service of the Tear one thoufand J even hundred twenty fix, and fo much Money (if any fuch be) of the Tax thereby granted, as fhall arife and remain after all the Loans or Exchequer-Bills made or to be made on the fame Act, and all the Intereft, Prceiuium or Rate, and Charges thereon, and the Charges thereby allowable for raifing the faid Land-Tax fnall be fatisfied, or Money fufficient fhall be referved in the Exchequer to dif- charge the fame ; and all the Monies coming into the Exchequer, either by Loans or Exchequer-Bills, upon one other Aft of this Seffion of Parliament, intituled, An Ac! for continuing the Duties on Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, in that-Part of Great Britain called England ; and for granting to his Majejly certain Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-fix ; and for the more effetlual preventing Frauds and Abufes in the Shipping of Malt for Exportation to Foreign Parts ; and for afcertaining the Price of Ale to be fold in Scotland; and for making good the Deficiency on the Lottery-Tickets of the Tear one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-four ; and for making forth Duplicates of Exchequer-Bills, Lottery -Tickets and Orders loft, burnt or otherwife deftroyed, and fo much of the Duties on Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, thereby granted or continued, as fhall arife or remain (if any fuch be) after all the Loans or Exchequer-Bills thereby directed to be made on the fame Act, and all the Intereft, Pramium or Rate and Charges thereon, and the Charges thereby allowable for railing the faid Duties, fhall be fatisfied or Money fufficient fhall be referved to dilcharge the fame; and alfo all the Exchequer-Bills to be made forth in ■Purfuance of this prefent Act, and the Sum of feven thou- fand forty- fix Pounds, thirteen Shillings and eight Pence three Farthings, remaining in the Receipt of his Majefty's Exchequer on Arrears of former Land-Taxes, fhall be appropriated and applied, and are hereby jeo 135I. 8 £• appropriated for and towards the feveral Ufes, Intents and Purpofes herein ex preffed : Subject neverthelefs %L to make -to fuch Reftriilions as are herein after prefcribed (that is to fay) It is hereby enacted and declared, That good the Gene- out of all or any the Aids or Supplies aforefaid, there fhall and may be iffued and applied any Sum not ex- ralFund. ceeding fixty thoufand two hundred thirty-five Pounds eight Shillings and eight Pence, to make good the Deficiency of the Fund, commonly called The General Fund, for railing Seven hundred twenty-four thou- fand eight hundred forty-nine Pounds fix Shillings and ten Pence, and one-fifth Part of a Peny per Annum, for the Year ended at Michaelmas one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-five.
