' and there landed from Flanders, or other Parts (other than from Great Britain) to the great Prejudice of ' his Majefty's Revenue, and Difcouragement of the Trade of Britifl) Hops : For Prevention' of the like ' Abufes for the future ;' Be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That from and after the tenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and fifteen, the Mafter of every Ship or V ef- fel, which mall carry any Hops whatfoever to Ireland, fhall take from the Collector or Comptroller of the Port in Great Britain (where he fhall lade any; Hops) a Duplicate of his Content in Writing of all the Hops taken or laden on board his Ship or Veffel, before he be permitted to fail out of the Port, under the Hand and Seal of fuch Collector or Comptroller of the faid Port in Great Britain, which faid Duplicate fhall be delivered to the Mafter of every fuch Ship or Veffel, without Fee or Reward ; and that every fuch Mafter of fuch Ship or Veffel fhall deliver, upon Oath, fuch Duplicate to the Officer of the Cuftoms in fuch Port in Ireland, where fuch Ship or Veffel- fhall arrive, and intends to unlade, before he be permitted to land any Hops ; and that in cafe any Hops fhall be unladen or landed in any Part of Ireland, before fuch Duplicate is produced to the Officer, Collector, or Comptroller, as aforefaid, all fuch Hops, and ten Shillings for every Pound-weight of the fame, fhall be forfeited ; one Moiety to his Majefty, his Heirs and Succeffors, the other Moiety to the Officer or Officers, or any other Perfon or Perfons who fhall feize or fue for the fame in any of his Majefty 's Courts of Record in Dublin, to be recovered by Action, Bill, Plaint, or Information, wherein no Effoin, Protection, Privilege, or Wager of Law fhall be allowed, or any more than one Imparlance. f. 25. 6 Geo. e. c. 37. j 6. - VII. And whereas by an Act of Parliament made in the fourth Year of the Reign of her faid late Ma-
- jefty, intituled, An Ail for contimlhig an additional Subfidy of Tonnage and Poundage, and certain Duties
' upon Coals, . Culm and Cynders, and additional Duties of Excife, and for fettling and eftablijhing a Fund there-
- by, and by other Ways and Means, for Payment of Annuities, to be fold for raijing a further Supply to her Ma-
jefty, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and fix, and other Ufes therein mentioned, a cer- tain additional Subfidy of Tonnage and Poundage, commonly called the one third Subfidy, payable for and upon all Wines, Goods and Merchandizes imported, and thereby granted for the Term of ninety- eight Years, which commenced from the eighth Day of March in the Year, of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and fix, and the particular Rates and Duties of Excife thereby granted for the Term of ninety-five Years, from the feventeenth Day of May one thoufand feven hundred and thirteen, with other Monies therein mentioned, are appropriated and made liable to the Payment of certain Annuities purchafed thereupon, not exceeding one bundled eighty-four thoufand two hundred forty-two Pounds four- teen Shillings per Annum, for ninety-nine Years, reckoned from Lady-clay one thoufand feven hundred and fix, and payable at the Receipt of the Exchequer, and the Overplus Monies which might arife yearly upon that Act,, were afterwards enacted to be juftly and duly computed at Lady-day yearly, or within fix Days after : And by an Act; of Parliament made in the fifth Year of her faid late Majefty's Reign, in- tituled, An A Si for continuing the Duties on Low JVines, and Spirits of the fir/t Extraction, and the Duties payable by Hawkers, Pedlars, and Petty-chapmen, and Part of the Duties on Jlamp t Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, and the late Duties on Siveets, and the one Third Subfidy of Tonnage and Poundage, and for Jettling and eftablijhing a Fund thereby, and by the Application of certain Overplus Monies, and otherwije, for Payment of Annuities, to be fold for raijing a further Supply to her Majefty, for the Service of the Tear one thoufand fe- ven hundred and feven, and other Ufes therein exprejjed, certain Duties upon Low Wines, and Spirits of the firft Extraction, thereby continued from the three and twentieth Day of June one thoufand feven hun- dred and ten, for the Term of ninety-fix Years from thence next enfuing, and certain Duties payable by Hawkers, Pedlars, Petty-chapmen, and others therein mentioned, and thereby continued for the like Term of Years, and fuch of the Duties upon ftampt Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, as are therein men- tioned, and thereby continued for the Term of ninety-fix Years, which commenced from the laft Day of July one thoufand feven hundred' and ten, and the Duties upon Sweets, thereby laid for the Term of- niivety-nine Years, from the four and twentieth Day of Alarch one thoufand feven hundred and fix, and the faid Subfidy called the one Third Subfidy, by the fame Act granted and continued for one whole Year, to commence from the Expiration of the faid ninety-eight Years therein granted by the faid former Act, and all the Overplus Monies of the Subfidies, Rates, Duties, and other Monies contained in the faid Act of the fourth Year of her faid late Majefty's Reign, after paying or referving fufficient to pay fo much as fhould be incurred or grown due upon the faid Annuities, by virtue of that Act, at or before every Feaft of the Annunciation of the Bleffcd Virgin Mary refpectively (the neceffary Charges of pay- ing and accounting for the fame Annuities purchafed thereupon, being excepted) are appropriated and made liable to the Payment of certain Annuities purchafed upon the faid Act of the fifth Year of her faid late Majefty's Reign, not exceeding in the whole the Sum of feventy-two thoufand one hundred eighty- feven Pounds ten Shillings per Annum for ninety-nine Years, from the five and twentieth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and feven, payable alfo at the faid Receipt of Exchequer : And thereby it was- provided, that if at the End of any Year of the fail Term of ninety-nine Years, for which the faid Annuities upon the faid Act of the fifth Year of her faid late Majefty's Reign were to be purchafed (the firft Computation to be made at Lady-day one thoufand feven hundred and eight, or within fix Days af- ter) the Monies arifing at the Exchequer within fuch Year by the faid Rates, Duties, Subfidies, Over- plus Monies, and other Monies thereby appropriated for Payment of Annuities purfuant to that Act, ' ihould
