Till Quareritin 1 1 rmed, no Perfon or Goods to be brought on Shore without Licence, or Perfons to go on board, or receive Good i. Perfons authorized to fee Quarentine performed, to go oft' to fuch Ship at a convenient Diftance, and demand of th Con man- der the Name of the Ship, &e. And if the Ship ought to perform Quarentine, they are to oblige fuch Ship to go to fuch Place as {hall be appointed. Commander concealing Per! .ted, guilty of Felony. not making a true Difcovery forfeits zco/. quitting the Ship, or permitting Paflcngers fo to do, is: or not conveying Ship and Lading to the Place for Quarantine, forfeits 500/. Perfons quitting the Ship may bo- compelled to goon Board, &c S hips or Lazarets to be provided. Proper Officers to compel Perfons and their Goods to repair to inch Ships or Lazarets. Not repairing to fuch Place, Watchman may by Force compel them. Perfons refilling to repair or efcaping guilty of Felony. Perfons not infected entring fuch Ship, &c. may be compelled to perform Quarentine. After Quarentine performed, on Oath that the Ship is free from Infection, the Cuftomer, &c. fhall certify the fame, and the Ship, &c. liable to no further Reftraint. After Quarentine performed, Goods to be aired and difcharged. Officer or Watchman fuffering Perfons or Goods to be conveyed away without Licence, guilty of Felony. When England, &e. fhall be infected, his Majefty may reftrain fmall Boats under 20 Tuns from failing out of any Port without Security, hfc. His Majefty by Proclamation to be iflued before 24 June 1729, may prohibit Commerce between his Subjects and Places infected. And may prohibit any Perfon to come from Places infected into thefe Domi- nions. Going to a Place infected forfeits 500/. In all Proclamations for prohibiting Commerce, a reafon- able Time to be allowed before the Prohibition. Attainder on this Act not to corrupt Blood, &c. S Geo. 1. c, 24. 1 Geo. 2. flat. 2. c. 9. 7 HE RE AS nothing will more effectually contribute to the promoting and advancing the Naval / Strength of this Kingdom, than the endeavouring by due and fitting Encouragements to invite Ma- ' riners and Seamen to enter willingly into the Service of their Country, as often as Occafion fhall require; ' and whereas his Majefty, out of his Princely Concern for the Increafe and Encouragement of his Seamen, ' hath been moft gracioufly pleafed to recommend the fame from the Throne, as a Confideration of the ' greateft Importance:' Be it therefore enacted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Ad- vice and Confentof the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affernbled, and by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the firft Day of July which will be in the Year of After i July our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-eight, if any Seaman or able bodied Landman fhall freely 172S.
