the Authority aforefaid, That fo much of the faid Ails as requires any Perfon or Perfons to take the faid Oaths therein mentioned, or to do any other Act requifite by the Laws and Statutes of this Realm to qua- lify himfelf or themfelves as aforefaid, in refpect of his or their being continued in any Office, Place or Im- ployment for the Space of fix Months as aforefaid, fhall be and is hereby abfolutely repealed. And continued by Adjournments and Prorogations to the twenty-firft Day of January in the fecond Year of his Majefty's Reign, CAP. I. An Aft for continuing the Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cycler and Perry in that Part of Great Britain called England ; and for granting to his Majefty certain Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-nine; and for making good the Deficiency of a late Malt- Aft. EXP. XI. A ND whereas many Malfters or Makers of Malt, in order to the defrauding his Majefty of the Penalty on mix- J~ Duty and preventing the Officers from taking and keeping a true Account of the Corn or Grain ' ng Mait of . dif - by them fteeping or fteeped, and making into Malt, do in the Abfence of the Officers remove Part of their ^Xak^iaSi Corn or Grain out of the Ciftern or Wetting Fat, and mix the fame with Corn or Grain of a former relating berito^- Wetting, and fupply the Place of the Corn or Grain fo removed with frefh Corn or Grain, and do alfo fee 17 R. z. c. 4. mix their feveral Couches and Floors in fuch Manner, that the Officers for the faid Duties cannot diftin- * Ed - 6 - c. 10. guifti one Wetting from another :' For Remedy whereof Be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, xlA ""-P'f- '. That during the Continuance of the Duties upon Malt no Malfter or Maker of Malt, other than Corn- .^'j^."' Ir pounders for the faid Duties, fhall, during the Continuance of the laid Duties, mix or caufe to be mixed ±Guli'c.. his her or their Corn or Grain making into Malt of one Wetting or Steeping, or any Part thereof, with 6 Get I. C. 21. the Sum of five Shillings for every Bufhel of Corn fo mixed contrary to the true Intent and Meaning V» - f XII. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the faid Forfeiture of five Shillings for Penalty how to everyBufhelfhallbe fuedfor, recovered, levied and mitigated by fuch Ways, Means and Methods, as any Fine, be levied.
