Stati. contained in an Act of the feventh Year of his faid late Majefty 's Reign, intituled, An Ail for the further ^- 2I * preventing his Majefiy's Subjecls from trading to the Eaft-Indies under Foreign Cimmiffions, and for encouraging and further fairing the lawful Trade thereto, and for further regulating the Pilots of Dover, Deal and the Ifle cf Thanet, was further confirmed and continued by an Act of the tenth Year of his faid late Majefty, *o Geo,i. c, 17, intituled, An Ac! for continuing Acts for preventing Theft and Rapine on the Northern Borders e/" England, and for better regulating of Pilots, and for regulating the AJ/ize of Bread, and for better Encouragement "of the ng of Sail Cloth in Great Britain ; all which Grants, Liberties, Franchifes, Powers, Authorities and Immunities as before expreffed, and the faid fole Right and Privilege of Pilotage as aforefaid, are* hereby declared and enacted to remain wholly untouched, and to com nue in as full Force and vir- tue to them the faid Mafter, Wardens and Pilots of Dover, Deal and the Ifle of Thanet, as if this prefent Act had never been made 5 any thing herein contained to the contrary thereof in any wife notwithstanding. XIII. And it is hereby further enacted and declared, That this Act (hall be deemed and taken to be a Pubikk A3, publick Act, of which all Judges, Juftices and other Perfons are to take notice; and if any Suit or Limitation of Action (hall be brought or profecuted againft any Perfon or Perfons for any thing done or to be-done in Anions. purfuance of this Act, that in every fuch Cafe the Action or Suit (hail be commenced within three Months after the Fact committed, and not afterwards, and fhall be laid or brought in the County, City or Place where the Caufe of Action arifes, and not elfewhere ; and the Defendant or Defendants in fuch Action or Suit may plead the General Iffue, Not guilty, and give this Act and the fpecial Matter in Evi- dence at any Trial to be had thereupon, and that the fame was done in purfuance and by Authority of this Act > and if it fhall appear fo to be done, or if any fuch Action or Suit fhall be brought after the Time
