And it is hereby alfo enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies provided as aforefaid, for'theDeficfen- tuere ulau au d may be iflued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding forty-eight thou- ciesoftheGc- fand five hundred and fixteen Pounds fourteen Shillings and fix Pence Farthing, for making good the nuai Fund. XII. Provided neverthelefs, and it is hereby declared and enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for the Commiffioners of his Majefty's Treafury, or any three or more of them, or the high Treafurer for the Time being, to iflue and apply, or caufe to be iflued and applied, out of the Aids and Supplies aforefaid, fuch Sum and Sums of Money as ihall be neceflary to be iflued and applied, until and before the twenty-fourth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-four, for or towards the Increafe of fuch Expences, as fhall arife by fuch Augmentations of his Majefty's Forces by Sea or Land, as his Majefty in his great Wifdom (hall judge neceffary to make; and for concerting fuch Meafures as the Exigency of his Affairs may require. XIII. And as to the faid Sum of fifty-two thoufand fix hundred and ninety Pounds fifteen Shillings and ten Pence, by this Act appropriated on Account of Half-pay as aforefaid; it is enacted and de- Rules to be ob- clared by the Authority- aforefaid, That the Rules herein after prefcribed fhall be duly obferved ferved in Appii-; n fj le Application thereof; that is to fay, that no Perfon fhall have or receive any Part of the fame, who was a Minor and under the Age of fixteen Years, at the Time when the Regiment, Troop or Company, in which he ferved, was reduced; that no Perfon fhall have or receive any Part of the fame, except fuch Perfons who did actual Service in fome Regiment, Troop or Company; that no Perfon having any other Place or Imployment of Profit, Civil or Military, under his Majefty, fhall have or receive any Part of the faid Half-pay; that no Chaplain of any Garifon or Regiment, who has any Ecclefiaftical Benefice in Great Britain or Ireland, fhall have or receive any Part of the faid Half-pay; that no Perfon fhall have or receive any Part of the fame, who hath refigned his Commiffion, and has had no Commiflion fince; that no Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any Perfon by virtue of any War- rant or Appointment, except to fuch Perfons who would have been otherwife intitled to the fame as reduced Officers; and that no Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any the Officers of the five Regi- ments of Dragoons, and eight Regiments of Foot lately diihanded in Ireland, except to fuch as were lately taken off the Eftablilhment of Half-pay in Great Britain. ' XIV. And whereas by an Act of Parliament made in the fixth Year "of his Majefty's Reign, in- ' tuled, An Adl for enabling his Majefty to apply five hundred thoufand Pounds, out of the SinHng Fund, ' for the Service of the Tear one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-three, and for the further Difpoftion of ' the faid Fund, by paying of one million of South-Sea Annuities; and for enabling his Majefty out of the ' Monies arifen by Sale of the Lands in the IJlatid of Saint Chriftopher to pay the Sum of eighty thoufand ' Pounds, fir the Marriage Portion of the Princefs Royal; and ten thoufand Pounds to the Truftees for efta- ' blijhing the Colony of Georgia in America; and for making good all Deficiencies and Charges by taking of ' Broad Pieces into the Mint out of the Coinage Duty; and for appropriating the Supplies granted in this ' Seffion of Parliament; and for iffuing to the Sub-dean, Treafurer, and Steward, of the Collegiate Church of ' Saint Peter, Weitminfter, out of the Monies referved for building fifty new Churches within the Cities of ifions for the Minifters of the and one thoufand two hundred hich had been granted to his ' Majefty, as is therein mentioned, were appropriated to feveral Ufes and Purpofes therein expreffed, ' amongft which, any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding fifty-five thoufand feven hundred and ' feventeen Pounds five Shillings, was appropriated to be paid to the reduced Officers of his Majefty's ' Land Forces and Marines, fubject neverthelefs to fuch Rules to be obferved in the Application of ' the faid Half-pay, as in and by the aforefaid Act were prefcribed in that Behalf : ' Now it is hereby provided, enacted and declared, That fo much of the faid Sum of fifty-five thoufand feven hundred and feventeen Pounds five Shillings, as is or fhall be more than fufficient to fatisfy and pay the faid reduced Officers, according to the faid Rules by the faid Act prefcribed to be obferved in the Application ced Officers, to thereof, or any Part of fuch Overplus, fhall and may be difpofed of to fuch Officers who are maimed be difpofed of or loft their Limbs in the late Wars, or fuch others as by reafon of their long Service, or otherwife, ifei3 U &c! ° f " *? is Majefty fi> al l judge to be proper Objects of Charity, or to the Widows or Children of fuch Of- ficers, according to fuch Warrant or Warrants under his Majefty's Royal Sign Manual, as fhall be figncd in that Behalf; any thing in this Act, or the faid former A<t, to the contrary notwithftanding. 6 Geo. 2. c. 25.
