After 23 June 1734. Bablack Church (hall be deemed a Parifh Church by the Name of Saint John Baptift. Bifhop of the Diocefe to afcertain the Manner and Form of the Lecturer's Affiftance. St. Michael and St. John to have the fame Churchwarden. Rector to nominate the Parifh Clerk. WHEREAS by an Act of Parliament made in the feventh Year of the Reign of his late Ma- jefty King George the Firft, intituled, An Ait for making the River Weaver navigable from ' Frodiham Bridge to Winsford Bridge, in the County of Chefter, the Undertakers and the Truttees ' therein mentioned, and their Succeffors, were impowered to make the faid River navigable from ' Frodfljam Bridge to Winsford Bridge aforefaid, which River hath fince been made navigable from ' Frodfiam B: idge to Winsford Bridge accordingly : And whereas the extending or enlarging of the Na- ' vigation on the faid River for Boats, Lighters, and other Veffels from Winsford Bridge aforefaid, to ' Namptivich in the fame County, will not only be very beneficial and convenient, as well for the Car- ' riage of Salt, Cheefe, and Corn (the great Produce and Manufactures of the faid County) as of other ' Goods and Merchandizes, to and from the faid Town of Namptwich (the largeft and moft considerable ' Town in the faid County) and other Towns and Parts adjacent, but will imploy the Poor, and be a ' Means to preferve the Highways in that Part of the faid County, and will tend very much to the ' imploying and increaling the Number of Seamen and Watermen in the faid County, and be for the ' publick Good ;' May it therefore pleafe your moft Excellent Majefty that it may be enacted, £sV.
