And for the more eafy Difcovery of Perfons, who fhall keep a Common Ale-houfe or Tippling- Juftices may houfe without Licence, or who fhall prefume to fell any Spirituous Liquors, or any Ale, Beer, Cyder, officerfw Sots Perry, or other Liquors by Retale, without fuch Licence or Licences as are by Law required for vending an Account on the fame ; Be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That it fhall and may lawful to and for every Juftice Oath touching or Juftices of the Peace to fummon or call before him or them any Excife Officer or Gauger within their s^rftuousU- refpective Divifions, and to examine the faid Officer or Gauger upon Oath touching the Entry of any quors, &c Spirituous Liquors, Ale, Beer, Cyder, or Perry, made by any Perfon fufpected to fell the fame without made by Per- Licence, and every Perfon making fuch Entry, fhall be deemed a Seller of fuch Liquors fo entred to all l^"^"^ Intents and Purpofes, as if the fame had been proved before fuch Juftice or Juftices by the Oath of two without ll Witneffes. «nce.
