XIV. XV. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That if any Officer of the Cuftoms orThe S ol. Re- Excife fliall lofe any Limb or an Eye, or be otherwife maimed, or dangeroully wounded, by any Of • vvounded'b an! fender or Offenders herein laft mentioned, in the Execution of the Duty of his Office, or if any fuch Officer prehending, or other Perfon whatfoever lhall be fo maimed or wounded as aforefaid, in the apprehending, or endea- vouring to apprehend, or making Purfuit after any fuch Offender or Offenders, all and every fuch Officer and Officers, Perfon and Perfons, fo maimed and wounded as aforefaid, lhall upon the Conviction of fuch Offender or Offenders have and receive as a Reward the Sum of fifty Pounds, over and above any other Reward that he or they fliall be intitled to by virtue of this Act ; and in cafe any Perfon or Perfons fhall " nd t0 the Exe- happen to be killed in the taking or apprehending, or endeavouring to apprehend, or in making Purfuit fonshuled a after, any fuch Offender or Offenders, that then the Executors or Adminiftrators of fuch Perfon cr Per- apprehending, fons fo killed as aforefaid (upon Certificate under the Hands and Seals of the Juftice or Juftices of Affize for the County where the Fact was done, or the two next Juftices of the Peace, of fuch Perfon or Perfons being fo killed, which Certificate the faid Juftice or Juftices, upon fufficient Proof before him or them made, is and are hereby required immediately to give without Fee or Reward) (hall have and receive the Sum of fif.y Pounds over and above any other Reward that the Perfon or Perfons fo killed, his, her or their Executors or Adminiftrators, (hall or may be intitled to by virtue of this Act. XVI. And be it further enacted, That from and after the faid twenty-fourth D^y of June one thou- a,ld t0 the Dif- hnd feven hundred and thirty-fix, if any Perfon or Perfons ihall, within three Months after any of Accomplices the faid Offences herein laft before mentioned (hall have been committed, difcover to the Commif- ' fioners of the Cuftoms or Excife in England or Scotland refpectively, any Perfon or Perfons who (hall have been guilty of any fuch Offence, fo as fuch Offender or Offenders be convicted thereof, fuch Difcoverer or Difcoverers (hall have and receive the Sum of fifty Pounds for every fuch Offender fo difcovered and convi6ted, over and above any other Reward or Recompence which he, (he or they may be intitled to by any Law or Statute now in being. XVII.
