An Act for enlarging the Term and Powers granted by two Acts of Parliament, one of the eighth Year of the Reign of her late Majefty Queen Anne, and the other of the ninth Year of the Reign of his late Ma- jefty King George the Firft, for repairing the High- ways between the Houfe commonly called the Horjhoe Houfe, in the Parifh of Stoke Goldington in the County of Bucks, and the Town of Northampton, and the Road from the North Bridge of Newport Pagnel in the County of Bucks, to the Horjhoe Houfe. 7. An Act for enlarging the Term and Powers granted by an Act palled in the thirteenth Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King George the Firft, intituled, Jin Acl for repairing the Roads leading from the Town of Bromfgrove to the Town of Dudley in the County of Worcefter ; and from the faid Town of Bromfgrove to the Toivn of Birmingham in the County «/"Warwick ; fo far as the faid Act relates to repairing the Roads lead- ing from the Town of Dudley to the Town of Bromf- grove in the County of Worcefler; and for making the fame more effectual. S. An Act for laying a Duty of two Pennies Scots, or one fixth Part of a Penny Sterling, upon every Scots Pint of Ale and Beer which fhall be brewed for Sale, brought into, tapped, or fold within the Town of Kirkcaldy, and Liberties thereof. 9. An Act for enlarging the Term and Powers granted by two Acts of Parliament, one of the firft, and the other of the twelfth Year of the Reign of his late Ma- jefty King George the Firft, for repairing the Highways between Tyburn and Uxbridge in the County of Mid- dlefex ; and for amending the Road leading from Brent Bridge, over Hanwell Heath, through the Parifties of Hanvjell, Neiu Brentford, and Ealing, to the great Weftern Road in the faid County. 10. An Act for explaining, amending, and making more effectual two Acts of Parliament ; one pafled in the ninth and tenth Years of the Reign of his late Ma- jefty King William the Third, for erecting Workhoufes, and Houfes of Correction, in the Town of Kingfton upon Hull, for the Employment and Maintenance of the Poor there ; and the other pafled in the eighth Year of the Reign of her late Majefty Queen Anne, for the more effectual Provifion of the Poor in the faid Town. 11. An Act for granting an Aid to his Majefty by a Land Tax to be raifed in Great Britain, for the Ser- vice of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-two. 12. An Act to explain and amend an Act paffed in the twelfth Year of his prefent Majefty's Reign, intituled, An Acl to enable the Parijhioners of Saint Catherine Coleman, in Fenchurch Street, in the City of. London, to rebuild the Church of the faid Parifh ; and for making the faid Act more effectual for the Purpofes thereby in- tended. >3- An Act for eftablifhing an Agreement with the Go- vernor and Company of the Bank of England, for ad- vancing the Sum of" one million fix hundred thoufand Pounds, towards the Supply for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-two. 14. An Act for enlarging the Term and Powers granted by an Act pafled in the thirteenth Year of the Reign., of his late Majefty King George the Firft, intituled, An Act for repairing the Roads leading from Cirenceftcr Towns-end to Saint John's Bridge in the County of Gloucefter. 16. An Act for continuing the Powers granted by three feveral Acts of Parliament, one for repairing the Road from Stump- cr of s to Newmarket-heath, and the Town of Cambridge; another for repairing the Road from Foul- mire to Cambridge ; and the third for explaining, amend- ing, and rendering more effectual, the faid two former Acts ; and for enlarging the Terms granted by the faid two former Acts. 17. An Act for enlarging the Term and Powers granted by an Act pafled in the feventh Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King George the Firft, for repairing the feveral Roads leading from the Town of Led~ bury in the County of Hereford, to the feveral Places therein mentioned ; and for making the faid Act more effectual. 18. An Act to render more effectual an Act made in the ninth and tenth Years of the Reign of his late Majefty King William the Third, intituled, An Acl for erecting Hofpitals and Workhoufes within the Town of Colchefter in the County of Effex, for the better employing and main- taining the Poor thereof. 19. An Act for granting to his Majefty the Sum of eight hundred thoufand Pounds, to be raifed by Annuities transferrable at the Bank of England; and for afcer- taining the Cuftoms and Duties upon Quickfilver taken as Prize during the prefent War ; and for the further appropriating the Supplies granted in this Seflion of Parliament. 20. An Act to prevent the counterfeiting of Gold and Silver Lace; and for fettling and adjufting the Propor- tions of fine Silver and Silk; and for the better making of Gold and Silver Thread. 21. An Act to indemnify Perfons who have omitted to qualify themfelves for Offices, Employments, and Pro- motions, within the Time limited by Law, and for al- lowing further Time for that Purpofe. 22. An Act to exclude certain Officers from being Mem- bers of the Houfe of Commons. 23. An Act for fecuring to John Byrom, Mafter of Arts, the fole Right of publifhing, for a certain Term of Years, the Art and Method of Short-hand, invented by him. 24. An Act to impower the Juftices of the Peace of a Liberty or Corporation, to commit Offenders to the Houfe of Correction of the County, Riding or Divi- fion, in which fuch Liberty or Corporation is fituate. 25. An Act to impower the Importers or Proprietors of Rum or Spirits of the Britijh Sugar Plantations to land the fame before Payment of the Duties of Excife charg- ed thereon, and to lodge the fame in Warehoufes at their own Expence ; and for the Relief of Ralph Barrow, in Reipect to the Duty on fome Rock Salt, loft by the overflowing of the Rivers Weaver and Dane. 2$. An Act for the better enabling the Commiffioners for building a Bridge crofs the River Thames, from the City of Weftminfler, to the oppofite Shore in the County of Surrey, to finifh the faid Bridge, and to perform the e other
