And it is hereby alfo enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies provided as afore- faid, there (hall and may be iffued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding three hun- dred thoufand Pounds, for the further enabling his Majefty in the molt effectual Manner to fup- port the Queen of Hungary, for preventing the Subverfion of the Houfe of Aujlria, and for the main- taining the Pragmatick Sanation, and fupporting the Liberties and Balance of Power in Europe, XIII. And it is alfo hereby enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies provided as afore- laid, there (hall and may be iffued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding five thoufand twenty-one Pounds ten Shillings and one Penny Halfpenny to replace to the SinkingTund the like Sum paid out of the fame, to make good the Deficiency of the additional Stamp Duties at Chriftmas one thoufand kven hundred and thirty-nine, purfuant to a Claufe in an Aft of Parliament pafied in the fourth Year of his Majefty's Reign, for raifing one million two hundred thoufand Pounds by Annuities and a Lottery for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-one; so.ocol. to the and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding twenty thoufand Pounds, to replace to the faid Sink- Sinking Fund. j ng p- un d the ijk e Sum paid out of the fame to the Governor and Company of the Bank of England for one Year's Intereft due on or before the eighth Day of September one thoufand feven hundred and forty, being after the Rate of four Pounds per Centum on the principal Sum of five hundred thou- fand Pounds by them lent on the Credit of the Salt Duties, towards the Supply of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-five, purfuant to a Claufe in an Act of Parliament paffed in the eighth Year of his Majefty's Reign, for granting and continuing the Duties upon Salt, and upon Red 15,71111. 8s. 6 d. anc j White Herrings, for the further Term of four Years; and any Sum or Sums of Money not ex- Sinking Fund, ceeding twenty-three thoufand feven hundred and eleven Pounds eight Shillings and fix Pence, to re- place to the faid Sinking Fund the like Sum paid out of the fame, to make good the Deficiency oi twelve Shillings per Barrel on Sweets or Wines made from BritiJI) or Foreign Fruits, or Sugar, at Mid- fummer one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-nine, at three Pounds per Centum per Annum Intereft or five hundred thoufand Pounds charged thereon; and any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding foui thoufand Pounds, towards the repairing and finilhing the Collegiate Church of Saint Peter, Wejlminjlcr and to enable the Dean and Chapter of the faid Collegiate Church to purchafe three Leafehold Houfe: now Handing on the North Side of the faid Church, and to pull down the fame, in order to lay oper the whole North Side of the faid Church; and any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding ten thoufanc Pounds, towards the Maintenance of the Britifi Forts and Settlements belonging to the Royal Africa* Company of England, on the Coaft of Africa; and there (hall and may be iffued to the Truftees for efta- bliftiing the Colony of Georgia in America, any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding ten thoufanc Pounds, by them to be applied for the further fettling and improving the faid Colony; and any Surr or Sums of Money, not exceeding twenty thoufand Pounds, for the re-fettling and re-eftablifhing th< unhappy Sufferers of the Province of Carolina, in the late dreadful Fire at Charles Town; and any Sun or Sums of Money, not exceeding fix thoufand two hundred forty-nine Pounds fixteen Shillings ant _ p four Pence three Farthings, to make good the Lofs fuftained by feveral Merchants, and by the Officer. ^'Farthings, for commanding the fix new raifed Independent Companies of Foot in the Ifland of Jamaica, by the Fail h^h f^i ure °f Matter Henry Popple, appointed by his Majefty, Agent to the faid Companies; and any Sum o 0/ Henry ' Pop- Sums of Money, not exceeding one thoufand eight hundred and fixteen Pounds feventeen Shilling pie. and four Pence three Farthings, to make good the Lofs fuftained by Richard Fitzwilliam Efquire, Cap a ' fo 'p 6 ':- 17? - tain of an Independent Company of Foot in the Ifland of New Providence, on Account of the Payo 4 . 3 -ar jugs. ^ e rj orn p anv unc er his Command, by the Failure of the faid Henry Popple, appointed by his Majefty . , Agent to the faid Company; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding fix hundred and rift; -5° • Pounds, to make good a Lofs fuftained by the Receiver General of Scotland, by the Failure of the fait Henry Popple. 3625 1. 4s. 3d.
