D. 1742. intituled, An AH for eflablijhing an Agreement with the Governor and Company of the Bank of England, for advancing the Sum of one million fix hundred thoufand Pounds, towards the Supply for the Service of the Tear one thoufand feven hundred and forty-two ; and the Sum of eight hundred thoufand Pounds by this Adt granted as aforefaid, {hall be further appropriated and applied, and are hereby appropriated for and towards the ieveral Ufes, Intents and Purpofes herein after expreffed, fubjecT: neverthelefs to fuch Reftridtions as is herein after prefcribed ; that is to fay, it is hereby enacted and declared, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies aforefaid, there fhall and may be iiTued and applied, any Sum or Sums of Money not exceed- ing two million two hundred fixty-eight thoufand feven hundred fifty-fix Pounds feventeen Shillings and one Penny, for or towards the Naval Services herein after more particularly exprefled ; that is to fay, For or towards defraying the Charge of the Ordinary of his Majefty's Navy, and for Half-pay to Sea-Offi- cers, and for or towards Victuals, Wages, Wear and Tear of the Navy, and the Victualling thereof performed and to be performed, and for or towards Sea Services in the Office of Ordnance performed and to be performed. XXIV. And it is hereby alfo enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies as aforefaid, there fhall and may be iiTued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding one hundred fixty-eight thoufand fix hundred forty-five Pounds fifteen Shillings and feven Pence, for or towards the Charge of Transports hired to carry the Forces to America ; and any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding one hundred and eleven thoufand nine hundred and feventeen Pounds nineteen Shillings and one Penny, for the Expence of Victuals provided for the Soldiers employed in the Expedition in America. XXV. And it is hereby alfo enabled, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies as aforefaid, there fhall and may be iffued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding ten thoufand Pounds, upon Account, towards the Support of the Royal Hofpital at Greenwich, for the better Maintenance of the Seamen of the faid Hofpital, worn out and become decrepit in the Service of their Country. XXVI. And it is hereby alfo enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies as aforefaid, there fhall and may be iflued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding two hundred and ten thou- fand four hundred thirty-one Pounds fixteen Shillings, for or towards the defraying the Charge of the Office of Ordnance for Land Service performed and to be performed, and for defraying the extraordinary Expence of the Office of Ordnance for Land Services not provided for by Parliament. XXVII. And it is alfo hereby enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies as aforefaid, there fhall and may be iffued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding two hundred and fix thoufand two hundred fifty-three Pounds fifteen Shillings, for defraying the Charge of eleven thoufand five hundred and fifty Marines, Commifiion and Non-commiffion Officers included, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-two. XXVIII. And it is hereby likewife enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies provided as aforefaid, there fhall and may be iiTued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding one million eight hundred and nine thoufand one hundred forty-three Pounds nineteen Shillings and ten Pence for or towards maintaining his Majefty's Land Forces, and other Services herein after more particularly ex- preffed ; that is to fay, Any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding one million and four thoufand nine hundred forty-feven Pounds and ten Pence, for defraying the Charge of thirty-five thoufand five hundred and fifty-four effective Men, Commiffion and Non-commiffion Officers included, and alfo including two thoufand three hundred and twenty-three Invalids, for Guards, Garifons, and other his Majefty's Land Forces in Great Britain, Wefl Indies, Guernfey and Jerfey, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-two ; and any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding fifty-three thoufand nine hundred ninety-five Pounds thirteen Shillings and four Pence, for maintaining a Regiment of Foot raifed in America for the Service of the Wejl Indies, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred' and forty-two; and any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding two hundred fixty-fix thoufand fix hundred and fixteen Pounds fix Shil- lings and five Pence Halfpenny, for maintaining his Majefty's Land Forces and Garifons in the Planta- tions, Minona and Gibraltar, and for Provifions for the Garifons at Annapolis Royal, Canfo, Placentia, Providence, Gibraltar, and Georgia, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-two ; and any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding forty-four thoufand and eight Pounds three Shillings and feven Pence, for defraying feveral extraordinary Expences and Services incurred in the Year one thoufand ftven hundred and forty-one, and not provided for by Parliament; and any Sum or Sums of Money not ex- ceeding eleven thoufand fix hundred and eleven Pounds thirteen Shillings, for maintaining the Charge of feveral Officers appointed by his Majefty to go with the Forces on the Expedition under the Command of Major General Wentworth, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-two ; and any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding one thoufand two hundred feventy-feven Pounds and ten Shillings, for maintaining the Charge of the Staff" Officers appointed by his Majefty to attend the Hofpital eftablifhed for the Service of the Expedition under the Command of Major General Wentworth, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-twou; and any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding feventy-four thoufand one hundred ninety-two Pounds five Shillings and four Pence, for defraying the Charge of one Regiment of Horfe, two Regiments of Dragoons, and four Regiments of Foot, transferred from the Irijh to the Britifb Eftablifhment, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-two ; and any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding forty-feven thoufand two hundred feventy-three Pounds nine Shillings and five Pence Halfpenny, for defraying the Charge of what remains to be paid to the Troops of his Ma- jefty the King of Denmark, being one thoufand one hundred and ninety-four Horfe, and five thoufand fix hundred and ninety-two Foot, together with the General Officers in the Pay of Great Britain, from the twenty-fifth Day of March excluiive to the twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hun- dred
