' or Afts of Parliament:' Now we, your Majefty's moft dutiful and loyal Subjects, the Commons of Great Britain in Parliament aflembled, being defirous to raife the neceiiary Supplies which we have cheerfully granted to your Majefty, in the eafieft Manner we are able, for the Benefit of your Subjects, have freely and voluntarily given and granted, and by this Aft do give and grant unto your Majefty the Surplus or Remainder of the Monies arii'en or to arife, by the faid Rates and Duties on Spirituous Liquors, granted to your Majefty by the faid firft herein in Part recited Aft of the laft Seffion of Parliament, in- tituled, An Acl for repealing certain Duties on Spirituous Liquors, and on Licences for retailing the fame; and for laying other Duties on Spirituous Liquors, and on Licences to retail the faid Liquors; and which by the faid Aft laft herein in Part recited, intituled, An Acl for raifing by Annuities, and a Lottery, in Manner therein mentioned, the Sum of one million eight hundred thoufand Pounds, at three Pounds per Centum per Annum, for the Service of the Tear one thaufakct feven hundred and forty-three, were referved for. the Difpo- fition of Parliament, after the feveral Annuities charged thereon are fatisfied ; and do moft humbly be- feech your Majefty that it may be enafted, and be it enafted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefenr Parliament aflembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That the faid Surplus or Remainder of the Mo- Difpofition of nies arifen, or which fhall from Time to Time arife by the faid Rates and Duties on Spirituous Liquors, the Surplus Mo- granted by the faid Aft of the laft Seffion of Parliament firft herein in Part recited, after paying or refer- "h^Ou'ti^on 01 " ving from Time to Time at the Receipt of his Majefty's Exchequer, Money fufficient to fatisfy and pay Spintuous Li- the feveral and refpeftive Annuities charged on the faid Rates and Duties, by the faid laft in Part recited quors. Aft of the fameSeffion, fhall at the faid Receipt of Exchequer be kept diftinftly and apart from all other Branches of the publick Revenues, and the fame fhall be and are hereby declared to be a Fund and Secu- rity in the firft Place for fatisfying and paying the Annuity by this Aft charged thereupon, in Manner herein after mentioned; and afterwards of all fuch further Annuities as fhall be made payable out of the fame, by any future or other Aft of Parliament of this Seilion, until Redemption thereof by Parliament, and for no other Ufe, Intent or Purpofe whatfoever.
