D. 1730. and fecuring to them and their Succeffors the whole, fole and exclufive Trade to the Eajl Indies and Parts aforefaid, and for the preventing all his Majefty's Subjects trading thither, and for fecuring alfo their Poffeflions, Eftate and Effects, and governing their Affairs and Bufinefs in all Refpects as fully and effectually, as if the fame Profits, Benefits, Advantages, Trade, Privileges, Franchifes, Abilities, Capa- cities, Powers, Authorities, Rights, Remedies, Methods of Suit, Penalties and Forfeitures, Difabilities, Provifions, Matters and Things, were feverally repeated and at large re-enacted in the Bcdy of this Act; fubject neverthelefs to fuch Reitrictions, Covenants and Agreements as are contained in the faid Acts and Letters Patent now in Force, and not herein or hereby varied or altered, and fubject alfo to the Provifo following ; that is fay, On three Years XL Provided always, and it is hereby enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That at any Time, upon three ^^"andRe- Years Notice to be given by Parliament, after the twenty-fifth Day of March which {hall be in the Year payment of the one thoufand feven hundred and thirty fix (a), upon the Expiration of the faid three Years and Repay- whoie Capital men t to the faid United Company of Merchants of England trading to the Eajl Indies, or their Succeffors, Trade' to ceafe : of the faid Capital Stock, Debt or Sum of three millions two hundred thoufand Pounds, and all Arrears (a) Sixty-fix in of Annuity payable in refpect thereof, in safe the fame lhall not have been before repaid, then 'and tbefomerEdition. f rom thenceforth the faid Right, Title and Intereft of the faid United Company of Merchants of England trading to the Eaji Indies, to the whole, fole and exclufive Trade to the Eaji Indies and Parts aforefaid, fhall ceafe and determine. But Corporation XII. Provided always, and it is hereby further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That nothing in the j ™!.™* above Provifo, or in any Provifo in the Act of the ninth Year of the Reign of his faid Majefty King William the third, or in the faid Charter of the fifth Day of September in the Tenth Year of his laid Majefty, or in any other Act or Charter contained, fhall extend or be conftrued to extend to determine the Corporation of the faid United Company of Merchants of England trading to the Eajl Indies, or to hinder, prevent or exclude the faid United Company from carrying on at all Times, after fuch Determination of the Right to the fole, whole and exclufive Trade as aforefaid, a free Trade in, to and from the Eaji Indies and Parts aforefaid, with all or any Part of their owa Joint Stock in Trade Goods, Merchandizes, Eftate and Effects in common with other the Subjects of his Majefty, his Heirs and Succeffors, trading in, to and from thofe Parts. What fhall be XIII. And be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That any Notice in Writing, fignified by the Not?ce d bY P pa P r e - r Speaker of the Houfe of Commons for the Time being by Order of the faid Houfe, lhall be deemed and Kament. adjudged a due and proper Notice by Parliament, to and for all the Ends, Intents and Purpofes for which fuch Notices are directed by this Act to be given to the faid Company. An Act for repairing and widening the Road from that Part of Chatham which lies next to the City of Rochejler, to Saint Dunftan's Crofs near the City of Canterbury, in the County of Kent ; and for repeal- ing fo much of a former Act, as appropriates Part of the Money arifing by the Tolls or Duties therein mentioned, towards repairing the Road between the Town of Chatham and Boughton under the Blcan, in the faid County of Kent. PR. The Tolls took Place from the 24th Day of June 1730, and are to have Continuance for 21 Years. Continued by 17 Geo. z. c. 4. CAP. XVI. An Aft for railing five hundred and fifty thoufand Pounds by Exchequer Bills towards the Supply granted to His Majefty ; and for the further Application of the Produce of the Sinking Fund ; for applying the Arrears of former Land Taxes ; for approprating the Supplies granted in this Seffion of Parliament ; and for giving Relief with refpect. of an Over-payment to the Land Tax for the Year one thoufand feven hundred twenty-one by the- Receiver General for the County of Salop.
