' XVIII. And whereas it is intended. That every Contributor of the Sum of one hundred Pounds, to- ' wards raifing the faid Sum of fix millions three hundred thoufand Pounds, fhall have and be intitlcd unto ' an additional Capital of ten Pounds in a Lottery Ticket, which Tickets are to be prepared, and the Lot- ' tery to be drawn, in manner herein after mentioned ;' Be it therefore further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That fuch Perfons as the Commiffioners of his Majefty's Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the time being, fliali nominate or appoint, ftiall be Managers and Directors for preparing and delivering out Tickets, and to overfee the Drawing of Lots, and to order, do and perform fuch other Matters and Things as are here- after in and by this Ad directed and appointed by fuch Managers and Direftors to be done and performed ; and that fuch Managers and DirecStors fhall meet together, from time to time, at fome publick Office or Place for the Execution of the Powers and Trufts in them repofed by this KSt; and that the faid Managers or Diredors, or fo many of them as fliall be prefent at any fuch Meeting, or the major Part of them, ftall caufe Books to be prepared, in which every Leaf fhall be divided or diftinguifhed into three Columns, and upon the innermoll of the faid three Columns there fhall be printed fixty three thoufand Tickets, trV. " Eight thoufand feven hundred and fifty Tickets fhall be Fortunate, three of them ten thoufand Pounds " Principal, four five thoufand Pounds, feven two thoufand Pounds, nineteen one thoufand Pounds, thir- " ty-nine five hundred Pounds, one hundred and feventy-one one hundred Pounds, four hundred and forty- " two fifty Pounds, eight thoufand and fixty-five twenty Pounds; which Sums, with five hundred Pounds " to the firfl: drawn Ticket, and one thoufand Pounds to the laft drawn, will amount to thi-ee hundred and " four thoufand and five hundred Pounds; which being added to three hundred and twenty-five thoufand " and five hundred Pounds, the Principal payable on the remaining fifty-four thoufand two hundred and " fifty Blank Tickets, fix Pounds each, amount to fix hundred and thirty thoufand Pounds ; to beconvert-

Perfons felling Shares in Tickets of v/hich they are noi; poiTeUed to forfeit 500/. " The Tickets to be exchanged for Certificates." EXP. XXXL And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That the faid Accomptant General of the Bank of iiw^/flW for the time being, to whom the faid Certificates are to be directed as aforefaid, fhall, upon receiving and taking in the faid Certificates, or any of them, give Credit to the Perfons named, in the fame Book or Books, to be by him provided and kept for that Purpofe, for the Principal Sums contained in every fuch Certificate; and the Perfons to whofe Credit fuch Principal Sums fhall be entered in the faid Book or Books, his, her or their Executors and Adminiftrators fhall and may have Power to affio-ii and transfer the fame, or any Part, Share or Proportion thereof, to any other Perfon or Perfons, Bodies Poli- tick or Corporate whatfoever, in other Books, to be prepared and kept by the faid Accomptant General for that Purpoie; and the Principal Sums fo affigned or transferred, fliall carry the faid Annuity of four Pounds per Centum per Annu7n, and fhall be taken and deemed to be Stock transferrable by this Adl, according to the Powers and Authorities herein after mentioned, until the Redemption thereof as aforefaid ; and the faid Accomptant General of the Bank of England for the time being, is hereby authorized and directed to can- cel and file the Certificates, as they fliall from time to time be received and taken in by him, and to give the Perfons bringing in the fame a Note under his Hand, teftifying the principal Money for which they iliall have Credit in the faid Book or Books, by Reafon or Means of the Certificates fo received, taken in, and cancelled as aforefaid, and of the Annuities attending the fame. XXXIL And for the more eafy and fure Payment of the feveral and refpeflive Annuities, amounting to fix millions three hundred thoufand Pounds, by this AcSt authorized to be purchafed as aforefaid, as alio of the feveral Annuities jiayable in refpeift of the faid additional Capital, by way of Lottery as aforefaid ; It 's hereby further cnafted by the Authority aforefaid. That the faid Cjovcrnor and Compnny of the Bank tf England, and their Succeflbrs, fhall from time to time, until the fi^Id feveral and rcfiuitive Annuities, afitr , the Rate of four Pounds per Centu?n per Annum, fnall be redeemed according to this Ad, appoint and em- ploy one or more fufiicient Perfon or Perfons within their Office in the City o' Lcnd;i:, to be their Chief or firft Cartiier or Cafhiers, and one other fufficient Perfon within the i'ame Oflice, to be their Accomptant General ; and that fo much of the Agonies, from time to time atifing into the faid Receipt of the Exche,- quer, for the faid Subfidies, Rates and Duties by this Ad appropiiated for this Purpofe, as fliall be fuffi- cient, from time to time, to anfwer the faid feveral and refpeiltive Annuities, and other Payments direded to be paid and difcharged out of the faine, fhall, by Order of the Commiffioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer or Commiffioners of the Trcatury of his Ma- jefty, his Heirs or Succeflbrs for the time being, without any further or other Warrant to be fucd for, had or obtained in that Behalf, from time to time, at the refpedive half yearly Feaft Days, or Days of Pay- ment in this Ad before appointed for Payment thereof, be ifliied and paid at the faid Receipt of Exche- quer, to the faid firfi: or Chief Cafhier or Cafhiers of the faid Governor and Company of the Bank o( Eng- land, and their Succeflbrs for the time being, by way of Imprelt, and upon Account for the Payment as well of the faid feveral and refpedive Aimuities to be purchafed upon this Ad, as of the Annuities payable in refped of the faid additional Capital by way of Lottery, at fuch Times and in fuch Manner and Form as are by this Ad prefciibed in that Behalf; and that all and every fuch Cafhier or Cafhiers, to whoin the faid Monies fhall from time to time be iilued, fliall from time to time, without Delay, apply and pay the fame accordingly, and render his Account thereof according to the due Courie of the Exchequer; any thine herein contained to the contrary notwithltanding, XXXin.
