An Aft for graining to his Majefty the Sum of one Million, to be ruif d by Annuities at three Pounds per Centian per Annum-, and charged on the Sinking Fund, transferrable at ihc Bank oi England. 17. An Ae't for repairing the Roads leading from Dunglas Bridge to the Town of Haddiiigtonn ; and from thence to ^avenjhaughhurn in the County of Haddingtoun. 18. An Aft for enlightening the open Places, Streets,, Lanes, Paflagcs and Courts ; and for the better regula- ting the Nightly Watch, within the Parilh oi' Saint John Southwark in the County of Surrey. 19. An Aft for making more efl^edtual feveral Afts of Par- liament pafied for cleanfing and making navigable the Channel from the Hithe at Colchcjler to IFivenhoe in the County of EJJex ; and for repairing and cleanfing the Streets and Lanes of the Town oi Colchejhr. 20. An Aft for encouraging the Growth and Culture of Rav/ Silk in his Majefty 's Colonies or Plantations in America. 21. An Act for granting to his Majcfl:y the Sum of nine hundred thoufand Pounds out of the Sinking Fund, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and fifty; and for applying certain Surplus Monies remain- ing in the Exchequer, as Part of the Supply of the laid Year; and for the Application of certain Savings in the Hands of the Paymafter General ; and for obviating a Doubt in an Aft of the fifth Year of King George the F'irft, in refpeft to the Payment of certain Annuities thereby granted for the Improvement of Fifheries and Manufaftures in Scotland; and for the further appropria- ting the Supplies granted this Seffion of Parliament ; and for giving further Time for the Payment of Duties omit- ted to be paid for the Indentures on Contrafts of Clerks r and Apprentices ; and for transferiing the Bounties now payable upon the Exportation of Britijli Sail Cloth, to the Cuftoms; and for enforcing the Laws againft the clandeftine Importation of Soap, Candles and Starch, into this Kingdom. 22. An Act for giving further Time to the Proprietors of Annuities, after the Rate of four Pounds per Centum per ylnnum, to fubfcribe the fame in the Manner and upon the Terms therein mentioned ; and for redeeming fuch of the faid Annuities, as fhall not be fo fubfcribed ; and for impowering the Eajl India Company to raife certain Sums by transferrable Annuities. 23. An Act to continue feveral Laws for preventing the fpreading of the Diftemper which now rages amongft the Horned Cattle, and for impowering his Majefty to pro- hibit the Killing of Cow Calves. 24. An Act for the Encouragement of the Britift} White Herring Fiftiery. 25. An Act for making good a Deficiency upon the Reve- nue of the Office of Keeper or Clerk of the Hanaper, and for preventing any future Deficiency therein, to an- fwer the publick Services provided for out of the fame ; and for augmenting the Income of the Office of Mafter or Keeper of the Rolls. 26.
