That the Annuities which by this Aft fhall be granted and made payable, in refpeft Annuities of the faid Principal Sum of three millions two hundred thirty thoufand three hundred eighty-two Pounds chargeable on five Shillings and one Penny, until the Redemption thereof by Parliament, in Manner hereafter mentioned, the Principal fhall, from and after the Feaftof the Annunciation of the Bleffed Virgin Afctry one thoufand feven hundred ^""^ °^ and forty-nine, be charged and chargeable upon, and payable out of the Monies which, from and after the *'/'o'be^a'i/'* faid Feaft Day, fhall from time to time arife, and be remaining in the Receipt of his A4ajefty's Exchequer, cut'of the'sink- bf or for the laid Surpluffes, Excefies or Overplus Monies, commonly called The Siniing Fund (after pay- ingFund. ing or referving fufficient to pay all fuch Sum and Sums of Money as have been direfted by any former Aft ox Afts of Parliament to be paid out of the fame) and the faid SurpluiTes, Exceffes or Overplus Monies, are hereby appropriated for that Purpofe accordingly. And whereas it is the true Intent and Meaning of this Aft, that all the Bills, payable in Courfe out ' ' of his Majefty 's Offices of the Navy, or Viftualling, or for Tranfports, which were dated or made out ' in thofe Offices on or before the faid thirty-firft Day o^ December one thoufand feven hundred and forty- ' eight, not exceeding the faid Sum of three millions, fhall be carried to the Trcafury of his Majefty 's Na- ' vy, to be marked and certified to the Governor and Company of the Bank o^ England ; and alfo that all ' the Debentures, payable out of his Majefty's Office of Ordnance, which were dated on or before the ' faid thirty-firft Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and forty-eight, not exceeding the laid Sum
