XI. Provided alfo, and it is hereby further enabled by the Authority aforefaid. That it is the true Intent T'^s '^= and Meaning of this A£t:, that the Exchequer Bills hereby authorized to be made forth, not exceeding the J^,"'|.^'|^j"|J'"" Sum of one million thirteen thoufand one hundred forty-eight Pounds four Shillings and fix Pence, as p y^^d^"' '" aforefaid, fliall be, and they are hereby charged upon the faid Surpluffes, Exceffes or Overplus Moniesi, commonly called the Sinking Fund; and that the k.me. Exchequer Bills thall from Time to Time be paid off to the faid Governor and Company out of the firft Monies that Ihall from Time to Time arife into the faid Receipt of the Exchequer, of or for the faid Sinking Fund, and which fiiall be applied to the Pay- ment of the Principal of the National Debt, and not orherwife ; and the faid Commiffioners of the Trea- fury, or any three or more of them now being, or the faid High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the Time being, fhall and may, and they are hereby authorized and enabled, to caufe fuch Monies which fhall from Time to Time arife at the faid Receipt of the Exchequer, «f or for the faid Sinkitig Fund {ex.zs>t fuch Monies of the faid Sinking Fund as are or fhall be appropriated to any particular Ufe or Ufes by any Aft or Afts of Parliament in that Behalf) to be ilTued from Time to Time to fu-ch Paymafter to be conftituted as aforefaid, by way of Impreft and upon Account, to be by him ap- plied towards the paying off and difcharging the Exchequer Bills hereby authorized to be made forth as aforefaid) or any Part thereof, in fuch Courfe as aforefaid, at fuch Times, and in fuch Proportions, as the faid Commiffioners of the Treafury, ©r any three or more of them, or the faid High Treafurer for the Time being, fhall judge to be moft for the Advantage of the Publick ; from which refpe£live Time or Times of paying off and difcharging the faid Exchequer Bills, or any Part thereof, by fuch Paymaller as. aforefaid, a proportronai Part cf the Intereft or Premium payable for fuch Exchequer Bills fo paid off or difcharged, at the Rate aforefaid, fhall ceafe and determine ; any Thing in this or any other A£t or Aits of Parliament to the contrary in any wife notwithftanding. ' XIL And whereas your Majeity's faid dutiful Commons did refolve, towards raifing the Supply
- granted to your Majefty, to enable your Majefty to borrow a further Sum not exceeding two hundred

- Pounds per Centum per Annum, to be charged on the faid Sinking Fund : And whereas fmce the making

XIII. And be it further enadled by the Authority aforefaid, That all and every fuch Perfon or Perfons, '» "f?
