An Aft for the better afcertaining, recovering and col- lefting certain Duties payable upoti the Importation and Exportation of Goods and Merchandizes ijuo or out of the Harbour of the Town and County of Pook ; and al- fo of Ballaft and Boomage Duties, payable in refpeft cf Ships and Vefiels coming into and going out of the faid Harbour; and for the enlarging, better repairing and keeping in Repair, the faid Harbour, and the Qiiays and Wharfs ; and for providing a proper Place for keeping Gunpowder in or near the faid Town ; and for eftablifh- ing and regulating a Nightly Watch, and enlightening the Streets in the faid Town. 11. An Aft for the better Supply of Mariners and Seamen to ferve in his Majefty's Ships of War, and on Board Merchant Ships, and other Trading Ships and Vefi'els. 12. An Aft for granting to his Majefty a Duty upon Li- cences for retailing Beer, Ale and other Excifeable Li- qiiors ; and for eftablifning a Method for granting fuch Licences in Scotland; and for allowing fuch Licences to be granted at a Petty SelTion in England, in a certain Cafe therein mentioned. 13. An Aft for granting to his Majefty an additional Duty on Cards and Dice. 14. An Aft for granting to his Majefty feveral Rates and Duties payable by all Perfons, and Bodies Politick or Cor- porate, having certain Quantities of Silver Plate. 15. An Aft for granting a Bounty upon certain Species of Britijh and Irijh Linens exported ; and taking ofF the Duties on the Importation of Foreign Raw Linen Yarns made of Flax. 16. An Aft to impower his Majefty to prohibit the Expor- tation of Salt Petre ; and to enforce the Law for ininovv- ering his Majefty to prohibit the Exportation of Gun- powder, or any Sort of Arms and Ammunition ; and alfo to impower his Majefty to reftrain the carrying Coaft- wife of Salt Petre, Gunpowder, or any Sort of Arms or Ammunition. 17. An Aft to prevent his A-lajefty's Suhjefts froin ferving as Officers under the French King ; and for the better en- forcing an Aft pafl'ed in the ninth Year of his prefent Ma- jefty's Reign, to prevent the inlifling his Majefty's Sub- jefts to lerve as Soldiers, without his Majefty's Licence ; and for obliging fuch of his Majefty's Subjefts as fhall accept Commiffions in the Scotch Brigade, in tiie Service of the States General of the United Provinces, to take the Oaths of Allegiance and Abjuration. 18.
