An A€t to allow the Importation of Gum Senega into this Kingdom, from any Part of Ettrcpe, upon the Payment of a Duty ; and for Relief oi James Guthrie, with Refpeft to the Duties paid and fecured upon a Quantity of Tobacco burnt at the Port of Kircudbright ; and for giving further Time for Payment of Duties omitted to be paid for the Indentures or Con- trafts of Clerks and Apprentices. • XT7HEREAS the Printing of Silks, Linens and Callicoes, is greatly improved in this Kingdom; Co^.v/kW D™o-s ' VV and the Value of the faid Manufactures is thereby confiderably inhanced, and the Exportation -y'' "^ ^9 ^• ' thereof increafed : And whereas the Printing of the faid ^Manufactures cannot be carried to Perfection^- ■^4^ ' ^m ' without a fufficicnt Quantity of Gum Senega ; the Importation of which hath of late greatly decreafed,^' j;' 1 jj/i-J^', ' and the Price thereof advanced to an exceffive Rate, whereby it is become neceflary that fome Provifion i.e. 43. 8G«.i.
