  • Salt, it is enacted, That fuch Officers fliall, on fuch Proprietor's complying with certain Conditons in

' the faid Aft mentioned, deliver into the fole Cuftody of fuch Proprietor, or his Agent, all the faid Salt ' for the Curing of Fifh taken during the faid filhing Seafon ; and that at the End of every fifhing Seafon ' fuch Officer Ihall take a particular Account of the Quantities of Foreign and Britijh Salt refpeftively '^, remaining in Hand, which is to be immediately locked up in fuch joint Cuftody as aforefaid; and the ' Proprietors of fuch Salt, or their Agents, ufing fuch Salt as aforefaid, are by the faid Aft direfted, as ' foon as poffible after the End of every fifhing Seafon, to deliver an Account in Writing into th; Office ' for the Duty on Salt in the faid Aft mentioned, containing the Qiiantity of Filli exported, or entered ' and fhipped to be exported, on which the faid Salt taken away after its Deliveiy into the fole Cuftody of ' fuch Proprietors, or their Agents, hath been ufed or confumed, together with Certificates by the proper ' Officers of the feveral Ports where the faid Fifh were fhipped for Exportation, verifj'ing the faid A^ccount; ' and by the faid Aft a Penalty of tv/enty Shillings is laid on fuch Proprietors of Salt, or their Agents, ' for every Buftiel of Salt fo taken out, which fhall not be accounted for in the M. nner therein before, or ' otherwife, as in the faid Aft mentioned, or which fhall not be returned, or found remaining at the End ' of every fifliing Seafon in the Cellars orW^arehoufes, as in the laid Aft mentioned ; And by another Aft S Geo. r. c. 4.
