' paid to the Land Tax for fuch Eftates, to the Amount, and in the Manner in the faid Acts men- ' tioned, and thereby may have incurred the Forfeitures mentioned in the iaid Acts ;' Be it there- tore enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That every luch Perfon fliall be, and is hereby indemnified for having aded as a Commiflioner in the Execution of fuch Acts ; and is hereby exonerated, freed and dif- charged, of and from all Penalties and Forfeitures incurred or to be incurred, before the twenty-fourth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-fix, for or upon Account of acting in the Execution of fuch Ads ; any Thing in the faid Ads, or either of them, contained to the contrary notvviih- fianding. IIL^ Provided always, That this Ac^ {hall not extend to vacate or fet afidc any Judgement, againft any Perlon for having aded in the Execution of any or either of the faid Ads, without being quali- fied in the Manner required by fuch Ads refpedively.' And whereas by the faid zds for granting 'Aids to his Majefty by a Land Tax, it is enaded, Tliat no Perfon fhould be capable of ading as a Comniilfioner in the Execution of fuch Acts refpec- tively, or any of the Powers therein contained, within the City and Liberty of L'-yimi'i/hr, unlcfs luch PerTon was feifed and pofTefTed of Lands, Tenements or Hereditamen's, being Freehofd, Copyhold or Lealehold, over and above all Ground Rents, Incumbrances and other Refervaticns, payable out of, or in reiped of fucji Leafehold Eftates which were taxed, and did pay in the faid City a.:d Liberty, for the Value of twenty Pounds per Annum or more, of his own Eiiate to the Land Tax, for the' Ser- vice of the refpodive Years mentioned in the faid feveral Ads : And whereas fome Doubts have arilen upon the Conftrudion of the faid feveral Ads, in relation to the Coinmiinoners ading with- in the iaid City and Liberty ;' Be it therefore enaded and declared by the Authority aforefa^d. That the faid leveial Acts did, do and fhall extend, and ought to be conftrued, adjudged and taken to extend. "^ them, who Were, are or fhall be, at the Times of their ading as Commimoners, with n the faid City expiainecl^'&cf^' °^ Liberty, poflefled of any Leafehold Eftate or Eftates, over and above all Ground Rents, Incum- brances and other Relervations, payable out of or in lefped of the lame, which were taxed, and did pay m the laid City or Liberty, for the Value of twenty pounds per Annum or more, of his own Eftate to th.e I/dnd Tax, for the Service of the refpedive Years mentioned in the faid feveral Ai'ts, to put the laid feveral Adls, aiui all and every the Powers therein contained in Execution, in as full and ample a Manner, as if fuch Perfon or Perfons had been, or were feifed and polTeft'ed of any Freehold or Copyhold Eftaie or Eftates, which were taxed, and did pay to the Land Tax, within the faid City or -.iberty, fur the faid refpedive Years, in the faid Ads mentioned, for the fame Value; any Thing in the faid in part recited Ads, or any or either of them, to the contrary thereof in any wife notvvithftauJing.
