WHEREAS it hath been found that the Ufe of Broad Wheels does very much contribute to the Improvement and Prefervation of the Turnpike Roads oi' that Part of Grr<^t Britain called Eng- Icind, and ufing heavy Carriages with Narrow Wheels, is very ruinous and deftruffive to the fame j For Remedy whereof,' Be it enadted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Tmrtees for Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament afiembled.
