XVI. And it is hereby further enaded. 'the Monies raifed and diiT^urfed by Virtue of this A(5f, may be fairly examined ;' Be it further enai!:ted Accounts how ta by the Authority aforefaid, That the faid Commiffioners, or any five or more of them, fliall caufe a Book be kept and en- of Afieflment to be made and kept, and all Rates and Affeffments made as aforefaid under this Aft to be '"*^'^* fairly entered therein; and alfo a Book of Account to be made and kept, and an Account of all the Re- ceipts and Diftiurfements relating to all Monies received or diftiurfcd by Virtue of this Aet, to be fairly entered in the fame ; and that no Accounts fliall be pafled or allowed, unlefs the fame fliall be kept and made up in fuch Books as aforefaid ; and that once in every Year, to wit. The firft Monday in Aprils they the faid Commiffioners, or any five or more of them, being the major Part of the Commiffioners prefent at fuch Meeting, fliall carefully infpeft and examine all Receipts and Difburferacnts of fuch Monies as fliall be coUefted, received or diftjurfed by Virtue of this Acf, to the twenty-fifth Day of yWi??^/) then next before fuch Meeting, and Vouchers relating to the fame; at which faid Time the Colleclor or Col- lectors, Receiver or Receivers of the faid Rates and Sums of Money to be raifed as aforefaid, are hereby required to attend with his or their Books of Afieflment, Receipts and Difburfements, and all Vouchers for the fame; and upon Confideration and Examination of the faid Accounts upon Oath, to be admini- ^°"r'^'°""' ftered by five of the faid Commiffioners, and which Oath five of the faid Commiffioners are hereby im- coums^upoa powered to adminifter, the faid Commiffioners, or any fuch five or more of them as aforefaid, are Oath. hereby impowered and ordered to allow and pafs the faid Account as they fhall think fit, or fuch Part or Parts of the fame as they fliall fee juft and reafonable ; and fuch Account or Accounts, or fuch Part or P-arts of them as fhall be allowed by the faid Commiffioners, or any five or more of them as aforefaid, un- der their Hands, fhall be fairly entered into two feveral Sets of Books to be kept for thofe Purpofes; one Set whereof fhall be kept by the faid Commiffioners, and the other Set fhall remain in the Church Chefl of the Parifh of Wiggenhall Saint Mary Magdalen aforefaid ; and the faid Books fliall and may be infpeft- ed and perufed, at any Time at feafonable Hours, by any Perfon or Perfons, being an Owner or Owners of any Part of the faid Fen Lands and Low Grounds, requiring tlie fame, without Fee or any other Reward. XVin. And it is. hereby further ena£l:ed by the Authority aforefaid.
