An Aft to indemnify Perfons who have omitted to qualify themfelves for Offices and Imployments ; and to indemnify Juftices of the Peace, and others, who have omitted to regifter their Qualifications within the Time limited by Law; and for giving further Time for thofe Purpofes, and the filing of Affidavits of Arti- cles of Clerkftiip. 10. An Aft for the Incouragement of Seamen imployed in the Royal Navy ; and for eftablifhing a regular Me- thod for the punftual, frequent, and certain Payment of their Wages ; and for enabling them more eafily and readily to remit the i'ame for the Support of their Wives and Families ; and for preventing Frauds and Abufes attending fuch Payments. 11. An Aft to amend an Aft made in the third Year of the Reign of K gIViilia?n and Queen Mary, intituled, An A^ for the better Explanation, and Jupplying the De- fers of the former Laws for the Settleinent of the Poor, fo far as the fame relates to Apprentices gaining a Set- tlement by Indenture ; and alfo to impower Juftices of the Peace to determine Differences between Mafters and Miftrefles and their Servants in Huftjandry, touch- ing their Wages, though fuch Servants are hired for lefs Time than a Year. 12. An A6t to incourage the Growth and Cultivation of Madder in that Part of Great Britain cMed England^ by afcertaining the Tithe thereof there. 13.
