XXVI. And it is hereby further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, T'hat all the Taxes or AfiTefiments A^^Waur^P. of which fhall be rated and paid by Virtue of this Act, in each of the faid.Diftridts, and the Monies hor- the Mcaies. rowed on the Credit of fuch Taxes or AfTefTments refpedtively, fhall be applied and expended in defray- ing fuch Proporuon of the Expences of obtaining this Act as is herein after refpe6tively appointed to be defrayed by or on the Behalf of fuch Diftri(Sts ; and alfo in making, performing, erecting and maintain- ing the Works for draining, imbanking and preferving the Lands in eacli Diftrict refpectively, wherein or upon Account whereof fiich Taxes or AfTefTments fhall be raifed and paid, and fuch Monies fhali be borrowed, and in defraying the other necefTary Expences of executing this Act, and in Difcharge of the Principal and Intereft of the Monies borrowed in Relation to and upon Account of every fuch Diltricc refpectively. XXVII.
