LXXIII. Provided always, and be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That out of the Monies arifing from the Contribution towards railing the faid Sum of five millions, the Commifiioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiifioners of the Treafury for the time being, (hall have Power to difcharge ail fuch incident Charges as fliall necef- farily attend the Execution of this A61, in fuch Manner as to them fliall feem juft and reafonable and alia to fettle and appoint fuch Allowances as they fliall fee juft and reafonable, for the Service, Pains and La- bour of the faid Cafliier or Caftiiers, for receiving, paying and accounting for the faid Contributions ; and alfo fliall have Power to take out of the faid Sinking Fund fuch further Allowances as they fliall think juft and reafonable, for the Service, Pains and Labour of the Cafliier or Cafliiers of the Governor and Com- pany of the Bank of England^ for receiving, paying and accounting for the feveral and refpeclive Annuities payable by virtue of this Act, and alfo for the Service, Pains and Labour of the Accountant General of the faid Governor and Company for performing the Duty and Truft incumbent on him by this A<£t; all which Allowances hereby impowered to be made as aforefaid, in refpeit to the Service, Pains and Labour of any Officer or Officers of the faid Governor and Company, fliall be for the Uie and Benefit of the faid Gover- nor and Company, and at their Difpofal only; any thing herein contained to contrary notwithftanding. LXXIV. And be it hereby enafted by the Authority aforelaid. That no Fee or Gratuity fliall be de- manded or taken of any of his Majefty's Subjects for receiving or paying the faid Contribution-monies, or any of them, or for any Tallies or Receipts concerning the fame, or for ifluing the Monies for paying the faid feveral Annuities, or any of them ; and that no Fee or Gratuity fliall be demanded or taken for any Transfer great or fmall, to be made in purfuance of this Ail; upon Pain that the Officer or Perfon offend- ing by taking or demanding any fuch Fee or Gratuity, contrary to this A61, fliall forfeit the Sum of twenty Pounds to the Party grieved, to be recovered, with Full Cofts of Suit, in any of his Majefty's Courts of Record at IVeflminJier. LXXV. Provided alfo, and it is hereby enabled by the Authority aforefaid. That at any Time after the Expiration of twenty-four Years, to be computed from the fifth Day of 'July one thoufand {q.&x hundred and fifty-eight, and not fooner, upon lix Months Notice to be printed in the London Gazette., and affixed upon the Royal Exchange in London^ by Authority of Parliament; and upon Repayment by Parliament of the whole Principal Sum of four millions five hundred thoufand Pounds, for which the faid Annuities, after the Rate of three Pounds ten Shillings /)^r Centum per Annum., are payable to fuch refpedlive Perfons or Cor- porations as fliall be intitled to the fam.e Annuities ; or upon the like Repayment by Parliament of any Part of the faid Sum of four millions five hundred thoufand Pounds, fo as fuch Part of the Sum fo paid at any one Time be not lefs than five hundred thoufand Pounds ; and alfo upon full Payment of all Arrearages of the fame Annuities j then, and not till then, the faid Annuities fliall ceafe and determine, and be under- ftood to be redeemed ; and that any Vote or Refolution of the Houfe of Commons, fignified by the Speaker in Writing, to be inferted in the London Gazette., and affixed on the Royal Exchange in London as aforefaid, fliall be deemed and adjudged to be fufficient Notice within the Words and Meaning of this ASt. LXXVI. Provided always, and it is hereby enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England, and their Succeflors, notwithftanding the Redemption of all or any their own Funds, in purfuance of the Acl^s for eftablifliing the fame, or any of them, fliall continue a Cor- poration, till all the faid feveral Annuities fliall be redeemed by Parliament, according to the Provifoes here- in before contained in that Behalf; and that the faid Governor and Company, or any Member thereof, fliall not incur any Difability, for or by reafon of their doing any AJatter or Thing in purfuance of this Ac^

' of the faid Acl, and may be hereafter eftabliflied ;' Be it therefore enaded by the Authority aforefaid, That if any Perfon or Perfons whatfoever, from and after the firft Day of fuly one thoufand {tvtn hundred and fifty-eight, fliall forge or counterfeit, or procure to be forged or counttrfcitcd, or knowingly and wilfully a6l or affift in the forging or counterfeiting any Letter of Attorney, or other Authority or Inftrument, to transfer, affign, fell or convey any Share or Shares, or any Part of any Share or Shares, of or in any fuch Capital Stock or Funds of any Body or Bodies Politick or Corporate eftabliflied, or which fliall be eftablifli- ed, by any Aft or A6ts of Parliament ; or to receive any Dividend or Dividends attending any Share or Shares, or any Part of any Share or Shares, of or in any fuch Capital Stock or Funds as aforefiid ; or to receive any Annuity or Annuities, in refpe^St whereof any Proprietor or Proprietors have or fliall have any transferrable Share or Shares of or in any Capital Stock or Stocks which now are, or hereafter fliall be efta- bliflied by any Act or Ads of Parliament, in Proportion to their refpe<flive Annuities ; or fhall forge or counterfeit, or piocure to be forged or counterfeited, or knowingly and wilfully a6t or affift in the forging or counterfeiting any the Name or Names of any the Proprietors of any fuch Share or Shares in Stock, or of any the Perfons intitled to any fuch Annuity or Annuities, Dividend or Dividends, as aforefaid, in or to any fuch pretended Letter of Attorney, Inllrument or Authority ; or fliall knowingly or fraudidently de- mand, or endeavour to have, any fuch Share or Shares in Stock, or any Part tlicreof, transferred, affigned, fold
