D. 1757. made liable to the Payment of the fame, and to keep fuch Goods and Chattks fo diflrained, until fuch Sums, with the reafonable Charges of fuch DUlrefs, fhall be paid ; and fuch Perfon orPerfonsfo diftraining, after the Space of three Days after fuch Diftrefs made and taken, fhall and may, fell the Goods or Chatties fo diftrained, returning the Overplos (if any be) upon Demand, to the Owner thereof, after fuch Sums, and the reafonable Charges for diftrain- ing keeping and felling the fame, fhall be deducted and paid. XVIII. And be it further ena£ied by the Authority aforefaid. That the faid Truftees, or any nine or more of them, fliall and may, at the fiift or any fucceeding General Meeting, by Wri» . ting under their Hands and Seals, make Rules and Regulations for the Government of the faid' Market ; and fliall and may chufe and appoint one or more fit Perfon or Perfons to be CoUe^Stor or Collectors of the Sums aforefaid, aiid fliall alfo appoint one or more Treafurer or Trea- furers, and all other neceffary Officers as to them fhall appear proper, for the better Execu- tion of the Powers contained in this A6t, allowing to fuch Perfon or Perfons fo by them ap- pointed, fuch Salaries or other Rewards for their Trouble, as to the faid Truftees, or any nine or more of them, fliall appear juft and reafonable; and the faid Truftees, or any nine or more of them, fhall, and they are hereby impowered, to remove or difplace fuch Treafurer or Trea- furers. Col e6lor or Collectors, or other Perfon or Perfons whatfoever, fo by them from time to time appointed, and to place others in their Stead ; and the Perfon or Perfons fo appointed to collect and receive the faid Sum or Sums, and alfo fuch Treafurer or Treafurers fo appointed as aforefaid, fhall, before the faid Truftees, or any five or more of them, upon the firft Monday in every Month, or oftener, if thereunto required by the faid Truftees as aforefaid, give in a true, exaft and perfect Account in Writing, under their refpedtive Hands, of all the Monies which he or they, and every or any of them, fhall to fuch T'ime have received, paid and dif- burfed, by virtue of this Act, by Reafon of their refpe£live Offices, and produce Vouchers for the fame, and fliall pay over the Balance to fuch Perfon or Perfons as the faid Truftees, or any five or more of them, fhall at fuch Meeting dire£l: ; and in cafe fuch Treafurer or Treafurers, Colle6tor or Colle£tors, fhall refufe to give in fuch Account, or to pay fuch Balance as afore- faid, as often as required by the faid Truftees, or any five or more of them, at a General Meet- ing, fuch Perfon or Perfons fo refufing fliall be committed to the Common Gaol of the faid City and Liberty of Wcjim'injhr^ by Warrant under the Hand and Seal of any one of his Majefty's Juftices of the Peace for the faid City and Liberty, upon Application made to him by any two of the faid Truftees, there to remain without Bail or Mainprize, until he or they fhall make or render in, a true, exa£l and perfedt Account of their Receipts and Difburfements, by virtue of this Act, and fhall have produced and delivered up all Vouchers relating thereto, and fliall have likewife paid over the Money due on fuch Account, to fuch Perfon or Perfons as the faid Truf- tees, or any five or more of them, fhall direct and appoint to receive the fame, or fhall have made fuch Compofition as the faid Truftees, or any five or more of them, fhall approve ; which Compofition the faid Truftees, or any five or more of them, are hereby impowered to make and accept. XIX. And be it further enacSled by the Authority aforefaid. That the faid Truftees, or any five or irore of them, are hereby authorized and required, to take fuch Security from the Trea- i'urer or Treafurers to be appointed for the Purpofes of this Adt, for the due Execution of his and their faid Office and Offices, as to the faid Truftees, or any five or more of them, fhall feem meet. XX. And be it further enabled by the Authority aforefaid. That the faid Truftees, or any five or more of them, fliall yearly and every Year, within fix Weeks next after the twenty-fifth Day of December^ make and deliver in to the Juftices of the Peace for the faid City and Liberty of Wejhninfter^ at the Gen; ral Quarter-Seffions, or any Adjournment thereof aflembled, a juft, true and perfe^ Account in Writing, fairly entered in a Book or Books to be kept for that Pur- pofe, and figned by the faid Truftees, or any five or more of them, of all and every Sum and Sums of Money, which they fhall know to have been received or difburfed under the Authority of this A6t, during the preceding Year, with the Balance (if any) remaining in the Hands of ■ y , ^ amoncft the ^^^ ^'"'^ Truftees ; and fuch Accounts fhall be kept by the Clerk of the faid Selfions among the , Kec°rdTo7 the sTrtio^nT °" Records thereof, to be infpedted by any Perfon or Perfons defiring the fame, upon Payment of one Shilling to the faid Clerk ; and if any Surplus of the faid Sums fhall remain in the Hands of the faid Truftees, the fame is hereby appropriated to, and fliall be applied, yearly and every Year, by them, within twelve Months next after the delivering of fuch Accounts to the faid Juftices as aforefaid, to the Treafurer for the time being of Wfjiminjler Infirmary^ for the Bene- fit of the faid Charity. XXI. And be it further enadtcd by the Authority aforefaid. That it fhall and may be lawful to and for any Corn Chandler, or other Perfon or Perfons whatfoever, who fhall buy any Corn or Grain, Seed, Malt, Meal or Flour, in the faid Market, to fell the fame again in any other Place or Places within the faid City or Liberty of JVcJiyninJler^ or elfcwhere, without any Let or Difturbance from any Perfon or Perfons whatfoever for fo doing ; any Law or Statute to the contrary thereof in any wife notwithftanding. ' XXII. And whereas by an Act pafled in the twenty-fecond Year of his Majefty's Reign,
