Part the Firft, or, the Aflize Table, Contains, In Column N" I. the Price of the Bufhel of Wheat TVincheJier Meafure, from 2 s, ad. to 1 4 J. 6 J. the Bulhel, the Allowance of the Maglftrates or Juftices to the Baker, for Baking, being includedj and in Column N*^ II. are the Weights of the feveral Loaves : So that (for Example) if the Price of Wheat in the Market is 5 s. the Bufhel, and the Magiftrates allow i j. 6d. the Bufhel to the Baker for Baking, find 6s. 6 d. m Column N° I. arid even therewith, under N** II. will be found the Weights of the fe- veral Loaves ; but if the Price in the Market is 3 s. and the Allowance i s. then the Weight of the faid Loaves will be found even with 4J. Note, That the Wheaten Loaves are Three-fourths of the Weight of the Houfe- hold Loaves -, and if the Magiftrates or Juftices Ihall think fit to allow of any- White Loaves of the Price of One Penny or Two Pence, they are to weigh at all Times Three-fourths of the Weight of the Wheaten Loaves of the fame Price. Part the Second, or, the Price Table, Contains, in Column N° II. the Price of the Buftiel of Wheat Winchefter Meafure, from 2S. ^ d. to 1 4 J. 6d. the Buftiel, the Allowance of the Magiftrates or Juftices to the Baker, for Baking, being included ; and in Column N** I. are the Prices of the Peck, Half Peck and Quartern, Wheaten and Houfehold Loaves : So that ("for Example) if the Price of Wheat in the Market is 5 s, the Bufliel, and the Magiftrates allow i s, 6 d. to the Baker for Baking, find 6 s. 6 d. in N° II. and even therewith, under N° I. will be found the Prices of the feveral Loaves ; but if the Price in the Market is 3 s. the Buftiel, and the Allowance i s. then the Prices of the faid Loaves will be found even with 4 J. Nofe, That the Prices of the Houfehold Loaves are always Three-fourths of the Prices of the Wheaten Loaves-, and where it Ihall be thought proper to allow of Half Quartern Loaves, the Prices of fuch Loaves (if fold fingly) are to be Half a Farthing higher than is allowed by this Table, when it fhall fo happen that the Farthing is fplit. And Magiftrates and Juftices, within their refpe<5live Jurifdi6lions, being to fet the AfTize and fix the Price of the feveral Loaves of Bread, having Refpeft to the Price which the Grain, Meal or Flour, of which the fame are made, fhall bear in the Market ; but no Provifion being made how they Ihould know what Price the refpedive Sorts of Meal and Flour fhould be efteemed to bear, in Proportion to the Price of Wheat, they are therefore to take Notice, That the Peck Loaf of each Sort of Bread is to weigh, when well baken, ly lb. 6 Ounces Averdupois^ and the reft in Proportion •, and that every Sack of Meal or |p Flour is to weigh 2 Cwt. 2 qrs. net •, and that from every Sack of Meal or Flour there ought to be produced, on the Average, 20 fuch Peck Loaves of Bread -, and, by ob- ferving the faid Rule, Magiftrates and Juftices may at all Times know if the Baker hath more or lefs than the Allowance they intend to give him. kl .
