That each and every fuch Sub-, fcriber or Subfcribers, Contributor or Contributors, Inall be intitled to an Annuity after the Rate' and after the Expiration of four Pounds per Centum per Annum, during the Term of twenty-one Years ; and after the Ex- ' of that Term, 3I. per piration thereof, to an Annuity of three Pounds per Centum per Annum, and no more, for and upon ThT'41. percent. Treafury to apply the Monies to the Services VOtfJ by the Commons XXV. And be it further enafted. That all the Annuities aforefaid fliall be transferrable at the Bank o^ England; fubjedt neverthelefs to fuch Redemption as is hereafter mentioned. XXVI. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid. That the Cafliier or Cafhiers of tlie Governor and Company of the Bank oi England, who fhall have received, or fhall receive any Part of the faid Contributions towards the faid Sum of eight millions, fhall give a Receipt or Re- ceipts in Writing to every fuch Contributor for all fuch Sums ; and that the Receipts to be given fhall be afTignable, by Indorlcment thereupon made, at any Time before the fifth Day of January one thoufand feven hundred and fixty-one, and no longer. XXVII. Provided always, "fhat fuch Cafhier or Cafhiers fhall give Security to the good Liking of any three or more of the Commiflioners of the Treafury for the 'i'ime being, or the Hio-h Trea- furcr for the Time being, for duly anfwering and paying into the Receipt of his Klajefty's Exchequer, for the publick Ufe, all the Adonies which they have already received, and fhall here- after receive, from time to time, of and for the faid Sum of eight millions, and for accounting duly for the fame, and for Performance of the Truft hereby in them repofed ; and fhall from time to time pay all fuch Monies fo received, and account for the fame in the Exchequer, according to the due Courfe thereof. XXVIII. And be it further enabled by the Authority aforefaid. That the faid Cafhier or Cafliiers fhall, and they are hereby authorized and required, upon the Payment of fifteen Pounds for every one hundred Pounds fo fubfcribed as aforefaid, and not before, to give a Note or Writing figned by him or them to fuch Contributor or Contributors, obliging himfelf or themfelves to deliver to fuch Contributor or Contribuiors, or their AfTigns, a Ticket in the Lottery herein after mentioned, of the Value of three Pounds by Way of additional Capital for every one hundred Pounds by them refpeclively fubfcribed, towards raifing the Sum of eight millions for the Purpofes aforefaid, as foon as the Managers and Directors to be appointed for preparing and delivering out the faid Tickets in the faid Lottery, fhall deliver to the faid Cafhier or Cafhiers the Books comprehending the faid Tickets. XXIX. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid. That it fhall and may be law- ful for three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury, or the High Tresfurer for the Time being, to iflue and apply from time to time, all fuch Sums of Money as fhall be fo paid into the Receipt of his Majefty's Exchequer, by the faid Cafhier or Cafhiers, to fuch Services as as fhall then have been voted by the Commons of Great Britain in this prefent Sef- fion of Parliament. XXX. And be it further enabled by the Authority aforefaid. That in the Office of the Accomp- tant General of the Governor and Company of the Bank oi England for the Time being, a Book or Books fhall be provided and kept, in which the Names of the Contributors fliall be fairly entered • which Bfjok or Books the faid refpe£tive Contributors, their refpediive Executors, Adminiflrators, and AiTigns, fhall and may from time to time, and at all fcafonable Times, rcfort to and infpecl, ^ without any P'ee or Charge : And that the faid Accomj^tant General fliall on or before the fifth Day tranimitced into the Au- of July One thoufand (even hundred and fixty-two, tranfmit an atteflcd Duplicate fairly written on d.tnr's Office by 5 July p.iper of the faid Book or Books, into the OfBcc of the Auditor of the Receipt of his Majefly's Ex- chtquer, there to remain for ever. 3 • XXXI.
