Service; Be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That in cafe the Commiflioners vrTll7^TK^mhVof ^^ ^'^ Majefty's Trcafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or new Excheque"Bi]h,° ^"V three or more of the CommifTioners of the Treafury for the Time being, fliall judge it more containing one common advifeable to raife the faid Sum of two millions fix hundred and two thoufand feven hundred and Sum, or different Sums, fix Pounds nine Shillings and nine Pence, or any Part thereof, by Exchequer Bills, inftead of fuch iii the Principal Monies. Loans as aforefaid, that then they refpeclively are hereby authorifed and impowered at any Time or Times to prepare and make, or caufe to be prepared and made, at the Exchequer, any Number of new Exchequer Bills, for any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding in the whole the faid Suni of two millions fix hundred and two thoufand (even hundred and fix Pounds nine Shillings and niiic Pence, together with fuch Loans aforefaid, in the fame or like Manner, Form or Order, and ac- cording to the fame or like Rules and Direftions as in and by a certain A£. of this prefent Seflioa of Parliament, intituled, Jn ASi for granting an Aid to his MajeJIy by a Land Tax to be raijed in Great Britain, yir the Service of the Year one thoufand fven hundred and fixiy, are enacted and pie- fcribed, concerning the Exchequer Bills to be made in purfuance of the faid A6t. Cliufes m the Land Tax VIII. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid. That all and every the Claufes, Pro- A£t relating ^°^'^^- vifoes. Powers, Privileges, Advantages, Penalties, Forfeitures and Diiabilities contained in the faid quer i s, ex e o |^^ mentioned Adt, relating to the Loans or Exchequer Bills, authorifed to be made by the fame A61 (except fuch Claufes as do charge the famie on the Taxes granted by the fame A<Sl, and except fuch Claufes as limit the Rate of Intered to be paid for the Forbearance of Money lent on the Credit of the faid A£l) fhall be applied and extended to the Exchequer Bills to be made in purfu- ance of this A£l, as fully and effeilually to all Intents and Purpofes, as if the faid Exchequer Bills had been originally authorifed by the faid laft mentioned A61, or as if the faid feveral Claufes or Provifoes had been particularly repeated and re-cnafted in the Body of this prefent Act. Bills difcharged to be IX. And be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid. That all the Exchequer Bills as (hall be made caijcelied, jj^ purfuance of this A(St, and the Interelt, Premium, Rate and Charges incident to or attending the fam.e, fhall be and are hereby charged and chargeable upon, and fhall be repaid and borne by and out of the growing Produce of the faid Surplufies, Excelfes and Overplus Agonies, or other Revenues compofing the Sinking Fund (except fuch Monies of the faid Sinking P'und, as are ap- propriated to any particular Ufe or Ufes, by any former or other hdi or Ads of Parliament in that Behalf); and fuch Monies of the faid Sinking Fund fhall and may be ifTucd and applied, as foon as the fame can be regularly flated and afcertained, for and towards the paying off, cancelling and dif- charging fuch Exchequer Bills, Interefl, Premium, Rate or Charges, until the whole of them fhall be paid ofF, cancelled and difcharged, or Money fufficient for that Purpofe be kept and referved in the Exchequer, to be payable on Demand to the refpedtive Proprietors thereof. An Adl for limiting, conlinlng, and better regulating the Payment of the Weekly Al- lowances made by Ad of Parliament, for the Maintenance of Families unable to fup- porc themfelves during the Abfence of Militia Men, imbodied and ordered out into adual Service -, and for explaining fo much of an A(5l made in this SefTion of Parlia- ment, intituled.
