That in cafe the faid Commiflioners of his Majefty's Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the Time being, fhall think itadvifcable to xaife the faid Sum of one million feven hundred fixty-two thoufand and four hundred Pounds, or any Part thereof, by Loans or Exchequer Bills, in manner herein after mentioned, that it fhall and may be lawful to and for any Perfon or Perfons, Natives or Foreigners, JBodies Politick or Corporate, to advance or lend to his Majefty, at the Receipt of his Majefty's Exchequer, any Sum or Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding the faid Sum of one million (evtn hundred fixty-two thou- fand and four hundred Pounds, upon the Credit of the faid SurpluiTes, Excefles, and Overplus Monies, or ocher Revenues compofing the Sinking Fund, and to have and receive Intereft for the Forbearance of the Money lent, fo as fuch Loans be allowed to be made by the faid Commiflioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiflioners of the Treafury for the Time being, who are hereby authorized to ifliie their Warrants for thatPurpofe as faft as fuch Loans fhall be wanted for the publick Service ; and more- over, that no A-Ioney to be lent upon the Security of this Ad, fhall be raced orafiTelTed to any Tax 01 Afl'efTmcnt whatfoever.
