XIIL And be it further enadled, That the faid General Commiffioners, or any five or more of FIrft Meeting of the them, fhall meet at the Town Hall in the Borough of Bojion on the third Tuefday in Aiiguji one thou- GznzxA Commiffioners. fand &vtn hundred and fixty-two, and proceed to the Execution of this Adt; and fhall afterwards Annual Meeting. meet on the firft Tuefday in July yearly at fuch Place within the City of Lincoln^ Town of New Slea- ford, or Borough of Bo/ion, as the faid Commiffioners, or any five or more of them, fliall appoint ; and the faid Commiffioners, or any five or more of them, fhall and may, from Time to Time, ad- journ themfelves to fuch Time and Place as they fhall think moll convenient for the Purpofes of this Adt : And if it fliall happen that there fhall not appear at any fuch Meeting a fufficient Number of Commiffioners to adt, or to adjourn to any other Time and Place, then the Clerk to the faid Com- miffioners fhall adjourn the faid Meeting to, and appoint the faid Commiffioners to meet at, the Place where the lafl Meeting was appointed to be held, on that Day three Weeks next after the Day on which fuch laft Meeting was appointed to be held ; and fliall caufe Notice thereof to be affixed on fome publick and confpicuous Place in the City o^ Lincoln, the Town oi Nezu Slcaford, the Borough oi Bo/ion, and the Towns oi Horncajile, Spilsby and Tatter jhall, at leaft ten Days before fuch Meet- ing ; and that the faid Commiffioners, at all their Meetings, fliall defray their own Charges and Ex- pences ; provided always, that three Commiffioners fhall be fufficient for the Purpofe of Adjournment. XIV. And be it further enadted. That it fhall and maybe lawful to and for the faid General Com- Comminionets to make miffioners, or any feven or more of them, at any Meeting to be held for that Purpofe, whereof four- Contrads withV/osk- teen Days Notice fhall be given, by affixing the fame upon the feveral Market CrofTes of Lincohi, Slea- '"^"' ^'^' ford, Tatt:rjhall, Horncajlle, Bojion and Spilsby, to receive Propofals from, and enter into, make and execute Contradts with any Engineers and Workmen for draining the faid low Lands and Fens, and for providing proper Engines, Utenfils and Materials for that Purpofe, and all other Matters, Articles and Things concerning the fame: And that all fuch Contradts, fo to be made, fhall be entered in a which-^re to be entsrei Book to be kept for that Purpofe, and figned by the faid Commiffioners, or any feven or more of them. ^" ^ ^'^o)i. And, in order to raife Money for defraying the Expences of draining the faid low Lands and Fens, Be it further enadted, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for the faid General Commif- The Acre Tax for the ■-fioners, or any feven or more of them, and they are hereby authorized and required to tax and charge general Drainage. all_ the low Lands and Fens lying, being, and comprized within the Boundaries of the faid firft, fecond, third and fourth Diflridts, with luch equal yearly Rates and Taxes as to them fliall feem requifite and necefTary for the Purpofes of fuch Drainage, fo as the fame do not exceed one Shilling an Acre for every Acre of private Property, eight Pence an Acre for every Acre of Half Year's Land, and four Pence an Acre for every Acre of Common Land, during fuch Time as the fame fliall be ufed as Common ; but if any fuch Land fhall be afterwards inclofed, and ufed in Severalty, then fuch Land fliall be taxed at any Rate not exceeding one Shilling an Acre for every Acre fo inclofed, during fuch Time as the fame fliall remain inclofed (other than and except fuch Common Lands as fhall be inclofed in purfuance of this Adt for defraying the faid Taxes} and alfo that the faid Commiffioners, or any feven or more of them, fhall and may tax and charge all the low Lands and Fens lying, being, and comprized within the Boundaries of the faid fifth and fixth Diflridts, with fuch equal yearly Rates and Taxes as to them fliall feem requifite and necefTary for the Purpofes aforefaid, fo as the fame do not exceed fix Pence an 4 0.2 Acre
