And be it further enabled by the Authority aforefaid, 'I'hat all the Monies to be advanced or contributed by virtue of this Ail, towards the faid Sum of three millions, on which the faid Annuities, Jmium^ or to which they fhall become intitled by virtue of this A61, (hall have and be deemed to have a animaybeaf- proportional Intercft and Share in the faid Stock, and in the faid Annuities attending the fame, at the figned or tranf- j^„j.g aforefaid ; and that the faid whole Capital or Joint Stock, or any Share or Intereft therein, fhall be aflignable and transferrable as this Adl directs, and not otherwife. Annaities decia- XLVII. Provided alfo, and it is hereby enaclicd by the Authority aforefaid, That at any Time upon red to be redeem- one Year's Notice to be printed in the London Gazette^ and atfixed upon the Royal Exchange in London^ able by Parlia- and upon Repayment by Parliament of the faid Sum of three millions, or any Part thereof, by Pay- "*'^"'"* ments not lefs than five hundred thoufand Pounds at one Time, in fuch Manner as fhall be dirc^ed by any future Act or A£ts of Parliament in that Behalf, and alfo upon full Payment of all Arrearages of the faid Annuities, after the Rate of three Pounds ^^r Centum per Anman^ thei;, and not till then, fuch or fo much of the faid Annuities as (hall be attending on the principal Sums fo paid oft, (hall ceafe and deter- mine, and be underftood to be redeemed; and that any Vote or Refolution of the Houfe of Commons, lignificd by the Speaker in Writing, to be inferted in the London Gazette^ and affixed on the Royal Ex- change in London as aforefaid, fhall be deemed and adjudged to be fufficient Notice within the Words and Meaning of this A61. Bo:ks to be kept XLVlII. And be it further enaded by the Authority aforefiiid. That Books fhall be conftantly kept for cntinng Ai- by the faid Accomptant General for the Time being, wherein all Affignments or Transfers of the faid fignmentsor Annuities, after the Rate of three Pounds per Centum per Annwn, fhall at all feafonable Times be entered '^'■.^""° " and regiftcred ; which Entry fhall be conceived in proper Words for that Purpofc, and fhall be figned '^"'""' by the Parties making fuch Affignments or Transfers ; or if fuch Parties be abfent, by their refpedlive Attornics, thereunto lawfully authorized in Writing under their Hands and Seals, to be atteflcd by two Method of af- or more ciedible W'itnefles ; and that the fevcral Perfons to Vv^hom fuch Transfers fhall be made, fhall figning-md tranf- refpectively underwrite their Acceptance thereof; and that no other Adethod of affigning and transfer- lerring the fame, j-jng the faid Annuities, or any Part thereof, or any Intereft therein, fhall be good or available in Lavtr. Annuities mavbe XLIX. Provided always. That all Perfons poftelTcd of any Share in the faid Joint Stock of Annuities, dcvifed by Will, or Eftate and Intereft therein, may devife the fame by Will in Writing, attefted by two or m.ore credible Entry to bemade WitnelFcs ; but that no Payment fhall be made on any fuch Devife, till fo much of the faid "Will as re- thereof. lates to any Share, Eftate or Intereft in the faid Joint Stock of Annuities, be entered in the faid Office; l>t m Duties ^"'^ ^'^'^^ '" Default of fuch Transfer or Devife, fuch Share, Eftate or Intereft in the faid Joint Stock of not chargeable Annuities, ftiall go to the Executors or Adminiftrators ; and that iio Stamp Duties whatloevcr fliall be on Transfers, charged on any of the faid Transfers; any Law or Statute to the contrary notwithftanding.
