- Ingredient in the Manufactory of Woollen Cloth, commonly called Broad and Narrow
' Bays, which is carried on to a great Extent: And whereas from the Scarcity of the faid Ingre- ' dient, the faid Manufactory is at prefent greatly diftreffed, and is in danger of being reduced, 4 and the Exportation of fuch Goods greatly leffened : And whereas the permitting the Importation ' from Ireland of fuch Greafe Butter will be advantageous to the faid Manufactury, and of great ' publick Utility ;' Be it therefore enacted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Par- liament affembled and by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the palling of this Act, importation of Greafe the Importation of ftale and dirty Butter, not fit to eat, called Greafe Butter, from Ireland, {hall be Bim ei permitted from and is hereby permitted, allowed and authorized for and during the Term of five Years from thence l ehnd, Duty free, for next enfuing, and from thence to the End of the then next Seffion of Parliament ; and that all Per- the Teim of 5 Years « fons fhall be, and are hereby exempted, freed and difcharged from the Payment of all Subfidies, Cuftoms, Rates, Duties or other Impofttions, and alfo from all Penalties, Forfeitures, Payments and Punifhments, for or upon Account of importing or bringing into any Port within the King- dom of Great Britain ftale and dirty Butter not fit for eating, commonly called Greafe Butter, from Ireland, during the Term aforefaid ; provided fuch Butter, and the Package and Quantity thereof, "P on duly entering the {hall be duly entered at the Cuftom-houfe at any fuch Port.
