And be it further enacted, That all and every Perfon and Perfons to whom any Money fhall be ° lder3 "%na< due for Loans to be regiftered by virtue of this Aft, after Order entered in the Book of P.egifter aforefaid, ble ' his, her or their Executors, Adminiftrators, or Affigns, by proper Words of Affignment to be indorfed on his, her or their Order, may affign and transfer his, her or their Right, Title, Intereft, and Benefit of fuch Order, or any Part thereof, to any other ; which being notified in the Office of the Auditor of the Receipt aforefaid, and an Entry or Memorial thereof ai'fo made in the Book of Regiftry as aforefiud, for Orders (which the Officers fhall upon Requeft, without Fee or Charge, accordingly make) fhall intitle fuch Affignee, his, her or their Executors, Adminiftrators, Succeflors, or Affigns, to the Bsnefit thereof,, and Payment thereon ; and fuch Affignee may, in like manner, affign again, and fo toties quoties ; and af- terwards it fhall not be in the Power of fuch Perfon or Perfons who have or hath made fuch Affignment, to make void, releafe, or difcharge the fame, or any the Monies thereby due, or any Part thereof. XXVI. XXVII. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the faid Bills to be prepared and Bills to bear In- made in purfuance of this Act, fhall and may bear an Intereft not exceeding the Rate of four Pounds per tereft at 4 ! - P er Centum -per Annum., and proportionally for any greater or lefs Sum to be contained therein, and to be pay- Cent -l >er Anil «  able to the Bearers thereof refpectively; neverthelefs the faid Intereft mail be abated and faved upon fuch of the faid Bills to be made forth by this Act, as fhall at any Time or Times be in the Receipt of the Ex- chequer, or in the Hands or Power of any Receivers or Collectors of any Taxes, Aids or Revenues what- foever, payable to his Majefty, his Heirs, and Succeffbrs, during fuch Time and Times refpectively, as fuch Bills fhall be or remain in the faid Receipt, or in fuch Hands or Power as aforefaid. XXVIII. And it is hereby enacted, That all the faid Bills, fo to be prepared and made, fhall be num-Thefe Bills to U hered arithmetically, beginning with No. I. and fo proceeding in an arithmetical Progreffion afcending, " u ™ b ^ ed ali£tl * wherein the common Excefs or Difference fhall always be one, and fhall be regiftered accordingly, fo that metl " y " the principal Sum to be contained in every fuch Bill (after Repayment of the Loans which fhall have been made as aforefaid, if any fuch be, with the Intereft thereof, or reierving Money fufficient for that PurpofeJ may regularly be paid off, and difcharged in Courfe, according to the Number of every fuch Bill, as it fhall- ftand in the faid Regifter; and that the Intereft upon all and every the faid Bills fhall be payable every three Months, according to the Purport and true Meaning of this Act ; and that upon every fuch Bill there fhall be indorfed, printed, or written, in Words at Length, or in Figures, the Sum after which the Principal to be contained therein fhall be payable in fuch Courfe, as aforefaid, according to the Purport and true- Meaning of this Act. XXIX. Provided always, and be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That in cafe the faid Sum, not Treafury to di- exceeding feven hundred and fifty thoufand Pounds, fhall be railed partly by Loans, and partly by Exche- re ? th ° Cour| e quer Bills, according to the Powers before given by this Aft ; that then, and in fuch Cafe, it fhall and L ra m o^che- may be lawful to and for the Commiffioners of his Majefty's Treafury, or any three or more of them now qU er Bills, being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of. the Treafury for the Time * being;, when and as often as they fhall, by virtue of the faid Powers, direct any fuch Loans to be taken, or any luch Exchequer Bills to be made out, at the fame Time alfo to direct and appoint the Courfe and Order in which (uch Loans and Exchequer Bills fhall ftand upon the faid Regifter, and after what Sum they fhall refpectively begfn to be payable in Courfe, out of the Monies arifing by this Act, fo as no fub- fequenfc
