The TITLES of the STATUTES.

  1. the County of York; and for scouring and cleansing the said Creek or Haven.
  2. An Act for discontinuing the Use of a Road, in the Parish of Great Partington, in the County of Warwick; and for preventing the Trustees, appointed to put in Execution an Act passed in the thirty-third Year of his late Majesty's Reign, for repairing. the Road from Stone Bridge, to Castle Bromwich, from erecting a Gate or Turnpike between Stone Bridge and the Place where the Road turns off to Coleshill, in the County of Warwick.
  3. An Act for amending, widening and keeping in Repair, the Road leading from Fisherton Bridge, to the Turnpike Road at Willougbby Hedge in West Knoyle, and from Wilton Bridge to the Turnpike Road at the West End of Heytesbury; and also the Road from the Turnpike Road at the Top of Red Hone Hill, in the Parish of Urshfont, to the Mile-stone at the Western End of Fisherton Street, in the County of Wilts.
  4. An Act for repairing the Parish Church of Croydon, in the County of Surry.
  5. An Act for amending and widening the Road from the Town of Stone to Wordsley Green Gate; and from, the West End of Bilston Street, in Wolverhampton, to the High Street opposite the Old Bush in Dudley; and from a Place called Burnt-Tree, near Dudley, to Birmingham; and from the Market Crofs in Wolverhampton, to Cannock, in the Counties of Stafford, Worcester and Warwick.
  6. An Act for rendering for effectual several Acts passed in the tenth Year of her late Majesty Queen Anne, in the eleventh Year of his late Majesty King George the First, and in the eleventh Year of his late Majesty King George the Second, for enlarging, amending and maintaining the Road from Dartford to Northfleet and Gravesend, and from Gravesend to Chalk, and from Northfleet to Chalk, and from thence to the Stones End near the Parish Church of Strood, in the County of Kent.
  7. An Act for amending and widening the Roads from the Turnpike upon Gatherly Moor, in the County of York, to Staindrop, in the County of Durham; and from the said Turnpike Road, near Smallways, across the River Tees, to Winston, 'in the said County of Durham; and for building a Bridge over the said River, at or near Winston Ford.
  8. An Act for repairing and amending the Road leading from Whitecross, in the Parish of Leven in Holderness, in the East Riding of the County of York, to the Town of Beverley, in the said County.
  9. An Act for repairing and widening the Road from the Borough of Appleby, in the County of Westmorland, through the Township of Orton, to Kirby Kendal; and from Orton, to the Turnpike Road near Shapp, and from Highgate near Tebay, in a Part of the Highway between Appleby and Kirby Kendal, through the Town of Kirby Steven, to the Town of Market Brough, in the said County.
  10. AN Act for repairing and widening the Roads from Mullen's Pond in the County of Southampton to the Eighteen Mile Stone from the City of Salisbury near Willougbby Hedge; and from West Amesbury to Anstlow Hill; and from Amesbury to Fiddleton; and from the New Inn in Amesbury to the End of the Parish leading to Durrington; and from Wily to Cook's House and Landford; and from Beacon Hill to the Nag's Head; and from thence be Mile of the Road leading to Shrewton in the County of Wilts.
  11. An Act for supplying the Town of Halifax with Water.

An Act for rendering more effectual several Acts parted in the fifth Year of his late Majesty King George the First, and the thirteenth Year of his late Majesty King George the Second, for repairing the Roads from the Top of Stokenchurch Hill to Enslow Bridge, through the City of Oxford, by Begbrooke, to New Woodstock in the County of Oxon; and for repairing the Road from the Crown Alehouse, to the Turnpike on Stoktnchurch Hill aforesaid; and for repairing the Mile-ways on each Side the said City, as therein mentioned.
  13. An Act for repairing, widening, and altering, the Road from Sandon in the County of Stafford, to Budlock-Smithy in the County of Chester; and from Hilderstone, to Draycott in the Moors; and from Wetly Rocks, to Tean in the said County of Stafford.
  14. An Act for repairing and widening several Roads in the Counties of Cornwall and Devon, leading to the Borough of Saltash in the County of Cornwall.
  15. An Act for repairing and widening the Roads from a certain Place near Bolton in the Moors, to Leigh; and thence to the Guide Post near Golbourne Dale, and to the South End of Newton Bridge; and from the said Guide Post to Winwick; and from Newton, by Parr Stocks, to the Guide Post in Parr in the County Palatine of Lancaster.
  16. An Act for better regulating the Poor; maintaining a Nightly Watch; lighting, paving, and cleansing the Streets, Rows, and Partages; providing Fire Engines and Firemen; and regulating the Hackney Coachmen, Chairmen, Carmen, and Porters; within the City of Chester.
  17. An Act for repairing and widening the Road from the Lostwithiel Turnpike Road, in the Parish of Creed in the County of Cornwall, through Tregony, to Ruan Lanehorne; and from Dennis Water, to Three hundred Yards on the South Side of Trethim Mill, in the Parish of Saint Just in the said County.
  18. An Act for the Enlightening the Streets, Lanes, and Partages, within the Town and County of the Town of Nottingham.
  19. An Act for enlarging the Term and Powers granted by two several Acts, parted in the sixth and sixteenth Years of his late Majesty, for the more effectual repairing the Roads leading from Wadesmill in the County of Hertford, to Barley and Royston; and for making the said Acts more effectual.
  20. An Act for amending and widening the Road from the Turnpike Road at or near the Town of Swindon, to the North End or Side of the Town of Marlborough, and from the said Town of Marlborough to the Village of Everley in the County of Wilts.
  21. An Act for repairing, widening, and altering, several Roads leading from Tavistock to Plymouth, and other Places in the County of Devon.
